11. Release

There was a certain buzz in the air today. Today was the release date for Rosé and Jisoo's debut single together as ex idols. Needless to say, the two were feeling mixed emotions; excitement and nervousness.

Jisoo and Rosie were stood backstage getting some touch ups done before heading on to the stage for their comeback performance. 

All around them were people bouncing around, running around the girls, testing the microphones, pinning their hair down, re applying their lipstick and reassuring them.

Rosie and Jisoo both watched the people bustling around them and each took in deep breaths before what would be a pivotal moment in their new careers.

They were excited for the new chapter to start, they had waited a long time for this day.

"Girls, you're all good to go. Stand on the x mark when the curtains open" The stage director calls out to Rosie and Jisoo.

They both look at eachother and hold hands.

"Im proud of you. Of us" Rosie says to Jisoo as she gives her a smile with teary eyes.

"No matter what happens after this, we did our best and thats all that matters" Jisoo says as she squeezes Rosies hand.

The girls knew the country had been anticipating their return and they did not want to let anyone down.

Once the show is complete Rosie and Jisoo run backstage. Rosie bursts into tears crying due to how happy she is to finally debut as a happy independent person rather than as a controlled mannequin like last time.

She covers her eyes as she continues to cry and one of the makeup artists hug her. She feels a tap on her shoulder and notices Jennie stood there with flowers.

Rosie turns around to see Jennie and as happy as she was to see Jennie she couldn't help but to cry even harder.

When you are in an emotional mood its hard to contain your feelings but it is even harder to do so around the people who mean a lot to you.

Jennie tip toed to hug Rosie and held her in her arms as she cried. "Shh, don't cry. You were absolutely amazing. Im so so so proud of you Rosie"

Rosie continues to sob into Jennies shoulder. After a few seconds she lifts her head up to look at Jennie and wipes her tears. "Im happy. Happy tears" she says as begins to choke up again.

Jennie extends her hand out and wipes away Rosies tears and hugs her again. "Stop it, you're going to make me cry and I don't like crying" She jokes.

Rosie chuckles as she wipes away her tears a little embarrassed.

"Anyways, I got you these flowers as congratulations" Jennie says as she picks up the flowers she had set on the table beside her.

"Aw Jennie! You know you didn't have too. You being here is more than I need" Rosie replies to Jennie as she takes the flowers and smells them.

"I know but, I love you, so of course I'd get you something" Jennie says as she winks at Rosie.

Rosie hears someone call her name and excuses herself from Jennie.

Jennie lets out a small sigh feeling a little overwhelmed after the outburst that Rosie just had. She loved Rosie so she didn't care if she had to drop her life to help her out but, sometimes, for Jennie, it was very easy to take on other peoples emotions as her own.

Jennie straightens out her skirt as she turns to look around for Jisoo.

There, she spots her in the corner having a conversation with one of the stylists who was laughing obnoxiously at something Jisoo had said. Knowing what Jisoo was like Jennie assumed it was Jisoo being her usual self and making some sort of joke.
