14. Her

It was the day of Jennies party tonight. She was extremely excited but also quite nervous. She had never been surrounded by A-list celebrities in her life before. 

The only celebrity she knew was Rosie and well, now Jisoo. She decided she'd call Rosie and ask her for some tips, something to calm her down a little.

She would call Jisoo but, they've only just got to know each other and she'd rather ask her best friend for advice. She knew she could always rely on her. 

Jennie dials Rosie's number and waits for her to pick up.

"Hey, whats up Jen?"

Jennie notices Rosie's voice sounded a little muffled. Was she out on her way somewhere?

"Hey, im sorry to disturb you. I just needed some advice I guess" Jennie apologises to Rosie.

"Never babe. What can I help with? Everything okay?"

"Yeah. Im just... I'm nervous Rosie... I-"

"First of all babe, you don't need to be nervous. I know its a big thing but people are coming to celebrate you!"

"Well, actually, I'm not going to know anyone at the party apart from you, Jisoo and Lisa!" Jennie tells Rosie honestly.

"What? What do you mean?"

"I don't know Rosie, he said he's inviting A-list celebs and well, you'll know more people at my party than I will and so I just need you to tell me I'll be fine" Jennie asks Rosie.

"Of course you will Jen. You're a natural at these things, more than you know babe. Trust me, you got this. Plus, I'll be there all night should you need me okay?"

Jennie found Rosie]s words very comforting. She knew she could always count on Rosie whenever she needed somebody to straight up calm her down or just advise her.

"Thank you. I don't know what I would do with you Rosie"

"Don't thank me! I'm your best friend for a reason yeah"

Jennie could sense, even through the phone, that Rosie was probably winking right now. She lets out a little giggle.

"Yeah"

"Good. Now, I'm just about to head to my Pilates class and I'll see you in a few hours okay? You're going to be fine."

"Yeah. Have fun. See you later boo"

Jennie ends the call feeling her nerves settle. Rosie was right - she can do this. She believed in herself.

She told herself she wasn't going to think about a certain someone at all today, she knew she would fail but, she really wanted to get over this little crush - if she could even call it that.

She receives a text from her manager to let her know the decorators should be outside waiting to be let in.

She makes her way downstairs and opens the door for the countless people working on the decorations for this party. She watches as people brought in disco balls, fairy lights, big speakers, a DJ's deck, Karaoke machine, balloons, banners and confetti. Seemed like tonight was going to be a big one.

Jennie takes a step back watching as things assembled together. She felt like she was living someone else's life.

Nobody had ever done something like this for her.
