19. Revelations

Rosie woke up today feeling extremely nervous for her interview. She feared what they may ask her as it was live and if she slipped up, it would cause a lot of trouble for her.

She knew they would definitely ask her about Jennie and Kai's dating scandal.

Although she was really nervous about her interview, the idea that Lisa was going to be somewhere in the same building really comforted her.

It was a little pathetic but, Lisa really did calm her. She always had.

Rosie got into her managers car and was driven to the vogue building. On the way there she decided to check her phone as a way to distract herself from the nerves.

Jennie💍: thank you for yday. If they ask you about me or Kai today, its okay. Say what you think is right. Him and I will support you no matter what.
Lalaloser: good luck today!🥰 i know ur going to be f i n e. I believe in you!
Jisoo: thank u again for last night. I ended up spending the night at Nayeons. You're right, I am surrounded by people who love me... good luck for today! I'll be watching and supporting 😘

Despite not having enough time to reply to the texts, it made her happy to see that her friends had all come through to support her, even when they all had their own issues to deal with.

Rosie enters the room in which she is to have her interview. It was a room painted in white and had lots of stage lights everywhere. She makes her way backstage with her manager when she is greeted by the interviewer.

"Hello! Rosie!" The interview speaks up in a rather cheerful and loud tone. Rosie replies with the same enthusiasm and reciprocates the hug when she notices the interviewer extends her arms out towards her.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you. You have done so well in the last few months!" The interviewer compliments Rosie.

"Have a drink! Would you like something that's not here? I can arrange for someone to get you it?" The interviewer offers Rosie.

"Oh no thank you. That is not necessary. I am more than happy with everything you have here" Rosie replies politely in order to not get on the interviewers wrong side.

Although the interviewer was being nothing but nice to Rosie right now, she knew, that it would be this same interviewer who would be mercilessly asking her invasive questions once the cameras began rolling.

Its just how the industry worked unfortunately.

Lisa was just editing some of her photographs a few doors and one floor below Rosie. Her aim was to get these done as soon as possible so that she could hopefully make it in time for atleast some of Rosies interview which was due to start in half an hour.

"Lisa" She hears her boss call her.

Lisa looks over to her boss and feels instant anxiety. The only time she ever saw her boss was when she was a) working on a big project b) going to get some sort of promotion or c) a telling off. Lisa could never gauge which one it would be.

Lisa lifts herself up from her seat "Hi Sir. To what do I owe the pleasure?" She asks as she flashes him a smile.

"You know I love your work, don't you?" He begins. Lisa nods her head.

"Well... one of my photographers just quit and left their entire workload on their desk. I need you to get through editing their photos. I want at least 50% of it done by tonight. If you manage to do this, I may consider a promotion" He tells Lisa with a serious face.

Before Lisa can refute and tell her boss that what he was asking of her was nearly impossible considering her own heavy workload, Lisa notices her boss's assistant walk in and hand her the USB file.
