17. I've been thinking

"Good morning Jennie" Jennie is greeted by Kai with his bright smile.

"Hi" Jennie coyly replies.

"You look nice today... I mean, not that you didn't yesterday but-"

"I know what you mean" Jennie speaks up laughing slightly, saving Kai from the hole he was digging.

"I noticed yesterday you didn't eat anything all day so... I bought you breakfast on the way here. I bought myself some and thought I might as well get you something too" Kai says trying to act chill, but perhaps failing a little.

"Oh... there was really no need Kai" Jennie says looking at the tray of food he had just brought out. Jennie didn't usually eat when she had shoots.

"I know but, you have to eat. Its very important to and you have an amazing body, you can maintain that while still giving your body energy you know?" He says to Jennie as he hands her the coffee first.

"I- Thanks Kai. I owe you" Jennie says nervously because firstly, he was stood there watching her and secondly, she didn't want to look bloated for the shoot.

"I wasn't sure what you would like for breakfast so I got you a cream cheese bagel" Kai says as he hands over the bagel.

"That's perfect" Jennie replies taking the bagel and placing it to the side. There was no way she was going to eat cream cheese before a shoot.

"Are you going to eat it?" Kai asks Jennie concerned.

"Y-yeah. In a bit" Jennie lies.

Kai looks at Jennie unconvinced, furrowing his brows at her slightly.

"I know I don't know you. Hell, I've only seen you twice in my life but, maybe thats more of a reason to believe me when I say; you should really eat. Nothing will happen to you. You are gorgeous and you deserve it Jennie" Kai says looking sincerely into Jennies eyes.

Jennie felt bad. How was a complete stranger stood here trying to get her to eat? Was she that transparent? Should she be ashamed? Did she look that broken?

"Look, I don't want you to feel bad or like I'm forcing you but, Jennie just know, you are beautiful and you do deserve to eat" Kai says as though he could read the thoughts swimming around in Jennie's mind.

He knew he was pushing it slightly, but, there was something about Jennie that made him worry. Even though he barely knew her, he wanted to get to know everything about her. He found her so intriguing.

"I-I'm sorry. I do eat. I just wasn't that hungry" Jennie replies trying to save her image. She didn't want him to see her as another insecure model. For some reason, she wanted to impress him. She wanted him to think good of her.

"Oh crap. I'm sorry. I didn't want to infer anything like that. I just - I just didn't want you to go the day without eating anything again. Sorry, that was crappy of me" Kai says feeling instantly guilty that he inferred Jennie was starving herself without even knowing the truth. He didn't want her to think he was just your typical Korean guy who thought he knew everything because he was far from that. He actually wanted to learn more about Jennie.

"Its okay" Jennie says with a soft smile as she holds Kai's hand that was covering his mouth out of shame. "I admire the kind act" She tells him as she pulls his hand away from his face.

Kai felt his throat dry up. Jennie's hands were so soft and they fit so well in his big hands.

Jennie let go of his hand and picked up the bagel and took a bite before offering him some.

"I'm okay" He replies, wanting her to eat the whole thing. She does just that and that too, without feeling as horrible as she thought she would have felt.
