5. The fight with mom

Shane's POV

Before I knew it Jade had gotten into our moms car right before she yelled out, "Fuck you Shane Dawson!" I dropped to my knees and started crying. I have majorly fucked up, I wanted tonight to be the night we made up..

Or at least started to make up. I didn't want her to be hating me or things to be awkward while she lived with me.
I didn't even tell any fans that we were here, so I'm confused on how so many found out. This is a really small town.. I didn't expect for this to happen.

I got out my head and stood back up pushing my tears away. Ryland and I started taking pictures and all for a few people before we decided to go back to our hotel for the night.

Jade's POV
*the next day*

I woke up back in my bed and smiled at the fact that I was done with school. Soon after I frowned and my eyes filled with tears as I remembered the events of last night. I still can't believe that really happened.

My sad tears turned into angry tears and I started throwing my things in my room. In my fit of rage I grabbed a framed picture of Shane and I when we were little and smashed it against the wall.

I snapped out of it hearing the glass shatter, "oh no..." I dropped to my knees and grabbed the broken frame looking at the picture of us.

I started balling my eyes out, "Why can't things be the way they used to.." I spoke to myself while crying holding the picture.

After getting all my tears out I decided to walk down stairs to get breakfast before I finish packing.
I stopped in my tracks and hide behind the wall when I noticed my mom was on the phone. She looked furious, which was new to me I had never seen her so mad before.

Shane's POV

"Ryland! No stop! I didn't tell anyone we were here!" I was nearly pulling my hair out this morning. Because of the events last night Ryland and I had been fighting all morning.

"All I'm saying is I never posted anything. I understood how important graduation was for your sister! You and her are at each other's throat! Why wouldn't you do that?" Ryland screamed back at me

I scoffed at him with tears in my eyes, "You think I'm that heartless? You know how broken I've been about my sister! And you're gonna have the nerve to say that!" I shot back at him while crying.

"Look. Shane. I'm sorry I accused you of that." He came over and hugged me, kissing my cheek.

I hugged him back while crying, "I just want to fix everything. I don't want her hating me while she lives with us.. I miss my sister."

Just then my phone started ringing so I huffed once I saw it was my mom. I answered it.

Teresa: Shane Lee Dawson!
Shane: hi mom..
Teresa: how could you do that last night! You know how important last night was for your sister!
Shane: mom.. calm down. I didn't do anything! I swear. I don't know how people found out.
Teresa: you better not be lying. You maybe be 25 but I will beat your ass.
Shane: I'm not lying! I'm so sorry about last night.

I heard her pause and then sigh
Teresa: I'm not the one you should be apologizing to.
Shane: I-I know. I will when we come to pick her up today.
Teresa: You better.

Her voice softened

Teresa: I know you love each other. But you need to fix this. That's why she's gonna live with you. Jade hasn't been doing well, I figured a new place could help her along with reconnecting with you.

Shane: Shes not doing well? What do you mean?
Teresa: I'm gonna let her tell you that. Just, try your best here. You need each other.

Shane: I will mom. I promise. I love you
Teresa: love you too.

Then I hung up.

Jade's POV

I was shocked at what I just heard my mom say. She was on the phone with Shane and defended him!

I stepped off the stairs and went into the living room. "You defended him!"

"Jade! Honey.." she walked over to me then I backed away.

"I can't believe you believe him! You defended what he did! And I'm only living with him because I'm not doing okay?!" I was furious at this point. I feel betrayed by my own mother now.

"Darling. He seems sincere. I know he wouldn't do anything to hurt you." I scoffed at her

"He hasn't spoken to me in 5 years! That hurt me enough! Of course he would do something else! This is bullshit!"

My mother looked at me with hard eyes, "language Jade Marie."

"This is fucking stupid! Don't make me go live with him!" I screamed at her.

"Jade Marie. You are living with your brother and that's final. You aren't doing well here, you won't see a therapist. This is my last option!"

I threw my phone in rage, "Last option!? How about I don't move! I'm fine here. I have Ashton and Liza."

"Your friends can only do so much for you Jade. You need to make up with Shane."

"To hell with that! He doesn't deserve that closure."

She was about to speak but I cut her off, "He doesn't deserve to know me! He doesn't deserve to know anything about me! He left. Just up and left and never spoke to me again." I was crying at this point and my mom was furious with me.

We had never fought before. So I know I hurt her.

"Jade Marie Dawson! You are moving with your brother and that's final! Now go upstairs and pack now before I take your phone and you're grounded while you're there."

I scoffed and wiped my tears. I stomped upstairs and slammed my door.

I started packing while crying. It took me about 2 hours to finish packing up everything I was taking with me. It was mostly clothes.

I'm officially over this. I never want to see him again or even move with him. He destroyed me and just will continue too. This is beyond fair to me.
