15. Recovery in Place

Shane's POV

Two weeks later we were finally able to take Jade home, and let's just say it's been a rough two weeks. Jeffree is always calling to check in on her and Andrew hasn't left the house. We are all taking turns watching her and helping her with things.

Jade hasn't spoke a word in two weeks, two weeks no one has heard her laugh till the room or her voice that brings smiles to everyone. It's breaking everyone's hearts, we just want her to get better but we know it's not an easy journey.

Getting pulled out my thoughts I notice it's six o clock. I head into the kitchen to see Morgan.

"Hey it's six, bath time."

Morgan finishes putting groceries away and nods walking away but I stop her.

"Are you sure you still want bath duty?" I ask

"Yes Shane, she freaked out when you tried to do it, Andrew certainly isn't going to do it and neither will Ryland because it's uncomfortable for them. I got it." She smiles softly and head upstairs.

I run my hands through my hair and hear my mother walk into the house.

"Mom I thought you went home?"

She walked into the kitchen and sat across me, what she said next caused me to freeze in my chair.

"Shane Lee, I'm taking Jade home."

I didn't respond so she continued speaking, "I was obviously wrong about her coming here. I thought she would get better but clearly she isn't even watched good enough here."

I felt my body fill with rage and I exploded, "We we're watching her! She was getting better! She was inside for ten minutes.." I trailed off upset thinking about it again.

My mom started shaking her head sighing, "Jade is coming home. I can watch her there, and I know Ashton and Liza will take care of her too. It's just the best idea for now."

Standing up in rage I knocked over a chair, "No! I can't lose her again!"

"You.. we almost did! When she's cleared for travel I'm taking her home" she firmly said walking upstairs.

"Fucking hell..." was all I could say.

Jade's POV

I haven't said a word to anyone, I want too but nothing comes out. I'm so stupid for making everyone hurt.. but I don't know why I did what I did.. I couldn't help it.

All I can hope is everyone forgives me.

Morgan walks into our room pulling me out my thoughts, "Bath time Jade."

I nodded with blank eyes while she helped me walk over to the bathroom without hurting myself. I don't have much strength right now so I gotta be helped with everything and watched every second of the day.. and let me say I'm embarrassed.
