Chapter 12

7:45 AM

Jennie is waiting in the main gate for almost 30 minutes. They had an agreement to meet by 7:30 AM because they still have class. Mrs. Kim dropped Jennie in school when the clock ticks 6:30 AM, the latter is still enduring her ankle but she can walk by herself.

"Where is he?" Jennie looked at her phone to check a message. She's holding a paper bag that has a cupcakes inside that her Mom baked last night.

"Good Morning Ms. Kim!" The students wave their hands as they scanned their ID.

"Good morning" She smile.

Jennie look at her back and see if Mino is coming towards her but there's no shadow from him. She lean her back on the wall and close her eyes, she didn't tell to Lisa that she will met Mino today. Even though it's an important matter, Lisa will definitely feel jealous.

"Hey Ms. Kim"

Jennie flinch on her spot when someone speak beside her. She hold her chest and took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry if I surprised you" Mino said, he's wearing his mask and carrying a backpack "So here's your ID. I'm sorry if I am late, I did something before I left the house"

"It's fine" Jennie replied and took the ID from him "Thank you and here's the gift for you, My Mom asked me to give this since you helped me to get on the clinic when I fell on the stairs"

"No! It's fine.. You're my co-teacher so I have to do it besides you were in need" He shook his hands to show that he's declining the gift.

"No.. This is a thank you gift so you should accept this. My Mom will yell at me if I bring this home" Jennie handed the paper bag to him and look at Mino, he's getting hesitant "Come on, just accept this so there's no problem at all"

Mino scratch his head and took the paper bag slowly "Thank you so much but I again you don't have to do this the next time I help you" He chuckle.

"Sure.. Because that will be the last time I tripped over the stairs and ask for help" Jennie jokingly said "So.. I need to go now? Thank you for keeping this"

"No problem... Are you going to the office? Let's go together. I'm heading there as well" He offered.

Jennie flashes a beam "Sure because even though I said No, you'll be behind me because we're heading in the same destination" She softly laugh and proceed on waking.

She walked slowly and trying her best not to force her ankle to step on the ground. Mino is behind her and just looking at Jennie as she march through the hall way.

"So you are a law student?" Mino asked.

Jennie glance at the back "Yes. My last year.. Why?"

"Nothing.. So you are the teacher that our Department head was talking? The smartest among the others?"

Jennie's eyes widened and just laugh at him "Maybe it's a sarcastic way. He's be littling me ever since because I am in Law school while teaching.. He's searching for a perfect hole to drag me down" She shrugged her shoulder and grip on the railings while walking upstairs.

"Really? But I can't see any sarcasm within his words" He replied with confusion.

"You don't know him. I swear, once we step inside the office he will start yelling at me without even knowing what really happened. I've been working for almost 4 years in that department and I never received a compliment from that man" Jennie stated.

"Really... "

They entered the office a loud smash of papers on the table has produced by the department head when he saw Jennie.
