Chapter 58

6:00 PM.

Another batch of snow is pouring outside but not that strong. A lot of people are warming themselves by wearing their coats and gloves, they stay inside their houses so they won't catch a cold.

"Ahh.. I love this weather" Mino said, a thick cold breath came out from his mouth. He's carrying a big trash bags to be place outside the gate "The truck should pick the bags this morning" He uttered and stayed outside, enjoying the small drops of snow.

His head turned side to side to check each corner of the alley. Since his wife is preparing foods for dinner, he decided to go somewhere to buy drinks for the cold weather.

"Luckily, I brought my wallet" He chuckled and put his hands inside the pocket. He looked straight on the alley until he noticed someone.

He tilted his head scrunch his face as he stares at that person.

"What do you want to talk about?" Mino asked and open the canned beer for Lisa.

Lisa took the beer and stares at it first "How are you?" She started.

"I'm doing great.. How about you?" He asked her.

Basically, the two met earlier. They went to the nearest store to buy beer to drink. They stayed outside the store since there's no one linger in the place because of being hidden from the highway.

"I'm fine" She replied and sip a beer "Don't you drink?"

"Just a lil bit" He said and open his beer to take a swig of it.

There's an awkwardness between them. Lisa decided to visit him to apologize on what happened before.. From the very start until they day that they went further enough to caused a trouble. She tried her best to searched for Mino's address, she went to the school where he's working and thankfully someone told her. She take a courage to face him after all what she has done. For her, maybe this is the best start to ask for forgiveness for everyone and for herself.

"Your heart? How's it?" She asked.

"I'm completely fine but of course I need to be careful since it's my second life" He laugh softly.

"That's good to know" Lisa said and shook the beer a bit "I'm sorry"

Mino turned up his lips a bit and bob his head slowly. As what he expected to her, she'll ask for forgiveness that's why she came.

"For what?" He questioned and gaze on her.

Lisa can't look at him so she has to lower down her head. She fix herself on the seat and dram her beer. Even though it tastes so bad, she couldn't feel it on her throat.

"On what I've done.. I accused you, hurt you physically and even wished for your death because of too much anger that contains me from the past years. I honestly don't know how to start and say my sorry but I'm trying" She stated.

"What came into your mind to ask for forgiveness?"

Lisa stop from talking and lean her back on the seat. She smile forcefully and tap the beer by her fingertips. She's in her deep thought about his question.

"Do regrets can make someone weak?" She throw a question to him.

Mino drink his beer and pressed his eyes because of unusual taste "So you're regretting on something?" He chuckled.

Lisa didn't speak and just heave a sigh. They couldn't feel the coldness of the thick air that is blowing towards them. The beer helps to warm themselves. There's something inside Lisa that she couldn't express, she doesn't know if it's fine to say it or not.
