Zak POV
I woke up and blinked slowly. To my surprise, I felt no pain at all. I sat up slowly and cursed when I realized where I was.
My room.
The place I was stuck in for a year.
Why did they have to put me here of all places?
I stood up and sighed, maybe I can use the same code again?
They were stupid enough to use the same code on Zelk and George's door. I walked towards the door to try but I was stopped by the door swinging open. A person was pushed inside of the room.
I immediately recognized him as Darryl.
They caught him too?
I was about to say something but he interrupted me, "Oh my goodness, they're so aggressive."
What?
I looked up at me and gave me a small smile, "Hello."
He walked over to me, "Nice to meet you."
I was frozen in shock. What's going on?
"What's your name?" He asked.
"Zak, your frie-"
He cut me off and said, "Well, I'm Darryl."
What's happening?
"Yeah I know that." I said.
"What else do you know?" He asked.
"You're 24 and that you're a weirdo." I said, hoping to make him crack a smile.
"You're a weirdo, kid." He replied.
I raised my eyebrow.
Kid?
Since when does he say kid?
"Whats wrong?" He asked me.
Then I realized.
This isn't real.
This is an illusion.
Get out of my head, you idiots.
Suddenly the room faded away and I was sitting in a bright white room.
A man that I didn't recognize was standing in front of me. "Nice job Zak, you are smarter than you look."
I recognized him from his voice.
It was Vincent.
"What was that?" I asked him.
"That was my little experiment." Vincent replied.
He's messed in the head.
"Finn, turn on the next one." He said, smirking.
I looked over at Finn as he put his hand on a lever. Right before he pulled it I saw a slight hint of sympathy in his eyes.
He feels bad.
My dad's voice echoed in my head:
Always pay attention to the details, you never know when you could use them against someone.
