Alicia flew down the steps to the car in the driveway. Giancarlo was  driving, didi was in shotgun, Miguel, gleyber and Aaron from left to right, same as last time.

As Didi was rolling down his window to greet her, she stopped and said, "oh hell, no. Not this again."

"Hi to you too, peach," he replied, giving her his signature smile.

"No one here has a car that seats more than five people? It's well-established that this is a group of six!" She mumbled to him.

"You're right," Didi sighed. "And I'm just here to prove that A: chivalry is not dead and B: and were gonna get pulled over by the cops no matter who sissy in the back." He opened the passenger side door, pushed her in, and hopped in the back seat.

"Hey, leesha," Giancarlo said, his eyes on the rearview mirror as he started backing out.

"Hi," she said quickly. "How're you at bowling?"

"The best, no questions asked."

"That's a whole lie," did said from the backseat.

"Sirdidg, where are you?" Alicia laughed. She turned around to see him laying sprawled out over Miguel, gleyber and Aaron. "Oh my god."

"What?" Didi cheesed

"You're so weird," she said, another laugh escaping her lips as she buried her head in her hands.

"Speaking of weird, you should see Giancarlo's bowling form," Gleyber piped up. "It's like.." he bent his arm backwards and tried to stuff it behind his back. "Like that."

"Hey." Giancarlo looked at him in the mirror. "It gets the job done."

"I can hear you judgeyboy, and let me tell you, you're going down."

-

"So you guys do a bowling night almost every day off? That's cool."

"Yeah," Miguel answered, jamming his hands in his pockets. "It's always been the five of us. Well... except sometimes he ditches."

She followed his gaze to where Aaron, Didi, Giancarlo and Gleyber were standing while Miguel and Alicia waited for the drinks at the counter. "Who? Aaron?"

Miguel nodded. "If he doesn't come, its always because of Jen.

"Who's Jen?" Alicia asked. Her fingers tapped on the counter as her heart sped up.

Miguel rolled his eyes at the sound of her name. He glanced at Alicia uneasily. "Aaron's friend. Bestfriend. Girlfriend. Ex-girlfriend. One-night stand. Friend with benefits. Girlfriend. Ex-girlfriend. Heartbreaker. One-night stand. The cycle never ends. On, here's the drinks now."

Alicia reached for the tray that some guy placed on the counter, but took it first, saying "I got it."

"Is he still with her? That sounds... uh, toxic." She stuffed her hands into the packets of Sammy sweatshirt.

" I don't know. You can never tell with them." Miguel shrugged. "It would probably be bet if neither one of us mentioned it tonight. He gets sensitive about it."

"Alicia! Miguel! Get over here, we're starting." The pair turned to see Gleyber waving at them excitedly.

Alicia laughed at Gleyber, and started to pull Miguel over to their group, the drinks sloshing the whole way there.

-

"We will never speak of that got it?"

"You lost fair and square, G," Aaron pointed out, laughing. "You earned last place."

"Let's hit the arcade!" Giancarlo said, trying his best to change the subject.

"Aaron and Alicia should get tokens. I'll give y'all the money." Didi friend at both of them, passing her two ten dollar bills.

"You're obnoxious," she informed him. They both knew exactly what he was trying to do.

"Don't hurry back!"

"Come on, A." Aaron glared at them before motioning for her to follow him. When they were out of ear shot from the rest of the group, he said quietly, " I like your outfit, it's cute."

She told him thanks, but all she could think about when he said "cute" was Jen. What if they were still together now? "Erica picked it out."

"You're friend?" He out his hands up to his face, as if he just remembered something. "She wanted to hang out with u, I should've invited her, too."

" don't worry about it. She's been spending the day getting ready for this date with this girl from work she's liked for a while now. "Alicia picked at her fingernails through the pocket of sammys sweatshrt.

"That's so sweet," Aaron grinned. "Hey, here's the coin machine."

Alicia put both of the tens into the machine and watched as it processed the money. "We're gonna get a lot of coins for this."

"You haven't been in an arcade with them before. They're crazy," he laughed again. The coins kept filling into the metal cup. She dug her hands until they were full, and out the, into the pocket of sammys sweatshrt. Three coins managed to slip through her fingers and into the floor. She wordlessly started to bend down to pick them up, just as he was saying, "oh I got it."

Alicia picked up a coin, Aaron picked up a coin. They both reached for the third, anticipating the other would fall back.

Aaron took the coin in his fingers, and Alicia mirrored his actions half a second after. Her fingers brushed his accidentally.

They glanced up at each other, equally surprised. Alicia quickly let go of him, she nervously tried to bring her hand back into her pocket. Instead, all he coins pulled into the floor, causing the two of them to burst into a fit of laughter.
