"Wait, Alicia. Before you go to the bus, I want you to meet someone."
Alicia frowned, she glanced around to see didi, Giancarlo, and many other players heading to the buses. Her voice was pleading as she mumbled, "Aaron.."
"It'll just take a second." He clasped his hands together and flashed a smile. "Pleaseee."
"Fine," she huffed. She motioned for them to start walking. "One second."
He jumped up, excited, and grabbed her hands, pulling her into the hallway.
"Aaron!" she laughed. She wrenched her hand right away as sonny and chasen walked past. Sonny raised his eyebrows and did her a solid by pretending to not notice any further. "We can't just..."
"The rays clubhouse," he sighed, looking up at the sign on the door. Without another word, he pushed the door open, causing Alicia to get that nervous feeling in her stomach.
As they stepped through the door, she told him, "I don't know.... I think maybe we should go back.."
Two guys in rat uniforms sat in chairs, both on their phones. They looked up at the sound of her voice, smiles melting into their faces. Alicia immediately recognized them as Chris archer and Blake snell.
Blake stood up and bro-hugged Aaron saying, "hey man, how're your doing?"
Chris gestured for Alicia to sit next to him, beaming at her the whole time. "Ayo shordy, how..."
"Quiet with that," Aaron said quickly, and Chris stood up to greet him too. "This is Alicia. The assistant manager."
Aaron and Chris first bumped, and Chris turned to her. "Oh! Well, nice to meet you, Alicia."
"You're a fucking legend," Blake added, causing her to giggle uneasily.
"She's shy, so don't bother her too much." Aaron put a protective arm over her shoulders, causing Blake and Chris to exchange a knowing look. Ignoring it, he continued, "we just thought we'd pop in to say hi. Are you guys doing anything now?"
"Well... we just finished kicking your asses, but I think we're free right now..." Chris smoked again
"A 2-1 win is not kicking out asses, but whatever," Aaron laughed. He glanced down at Alicia, who was uncomfortable and silent. "Do you wanna go out tonight?" We don't have to."
Blake and Chris cheesed at her, causing her to soften slightly. Caving in, she said, "I mean... if you guys want to.."
"That's a yes?" Aaron hoped.
She shrugged. "Yes."
