"You look really happy, Alicia."

Alicia grinned at Boone. "Thanks, I'm feeling like that."

He returned the look. They were between innings and although the team was losing 2-0, he was in a good mood. "It's that dee kid, right?"

She realized how he'd meant it and shook her head. "No, were not gonna get back together or anything. We just made amends."

Boone nodded "that's real amazing, Alicia. I wish more people were mature like that.

He tried not to smile at his words. "Thank you... again.. and I'm sorry I was almost late for batting practice today. We were just..." the words died in her throat. Boone stared at her quizzically.

"Who?" He asked.

"I meant to say... I was just watching a movie... that's all." He would kill her if he found out how close her and Aaron had been getting and the organization would fire her for being romantically connected to anyone.

"Interesting," Boone said quietly. "Aaron was almost late, too. Judge."

They stayed silent. She thought he knew, her mind was racing. She didn't know what to do or say, and the quiet between then was saying a thousand words.

"Well, I'm glad the two of you are becoming good friends." Boone smiled, clapping her on the shoulder. "I have to go check on cc with Larry now. You're welcome to join once you finish that chart.
