-x- Third Person POV -x-

"Look, Mr. Aizawa," the boy's voice echoed in Aizawa's mind, paired with a determined gaze. "...I can still move!"

A sense of unease washed over him - a nagging feeling that wouldn't leave. The feeling had persisted for days and still continued, as if a mental warning that something was going to go wrong. But what?

A sigh escaped Aizawa's lips, my fingers reaching to rub his eyes.

"What's wrong, Eraser?" Mandalay asked. "Tired?"

He glanced over to her. "Heh... Yeah. Something like that..."

"I was wondering," Mandalay mentioned, "Why is it that you only have 19 students? Did you expel them again or something?"

Aizawa's face fell. "No," he said simply.

Mandalay's expression twisted into one of concern. "Did someone-"

"No one is... completely gone," he replied quickly, refusing to even consider that Midoriya might've been long dead. "He's just... Missing." Aizawa froze, realizing he had spilled too much. "Nevermind," he said quickly, changing the subject. "It seems as if the students are nearby."

Mandalay's eyes flicked to Aizawa, and, upon noticing his pleading expression, she dropped the topic. "Yeah. Decently quick for 1st years. I thought it would've taken much longer, honestly," she laughed, nervous thoughts still in the back of her mind.

"Mhm," Aizawa nodded. "But these students are prepared. They've already gone through ten times more than what a normal first year should've." He sighed, shaking his head. Though, he was more proud than angry. "They even pushed themselves much further than many other classes during the Sports Festival. At least compared to previous years."

Mandalay raised her head, putting her finger on her chin. "I did hear about that villain attack." She tilted her head at Aizawa (oOoPs). "Was that really the first year class that handled them?"

Aizawa nodded. "Of course, the pros handled a lot of it. However, there were several students that stepped up in an effort to save...," he trailed off, a smiling, freckled face appearing in his mind.

"Eraser?" Mandalay spoke softly.

Aizawa broke free from his thoughts, shaking his head. He cleared his throat before continuing. "Ah... Uhm... Many students attempted to help their fellow classmates and even the number one himself."

"All Might?" Mandalay cracked a smile despite the semi-serious moment. "He needed help?"

Aizawa's eyes flicked towards her. "The villains had a strange creature with them. Specially designed to take on All Might. Without the help of a certain group of students," he admitted, "He very well could've seen his last moments in that fight."

"Wow...," Mandalay whispered breathlessly. "I-"

Students began coming from around trees, pushing away stray branches as they trudged forward, each of them heaving.

Class 1A. The heroes of the future.

He sighed, head hanging low.

But the brightest of them all is nowhere to be found.

-x- Midoriya's POV -x-

I snickered to myself, watching as Eraserhead pathetically hung his head. You couldn't protect one of your students. You failed at your most important job.

"Anyways," I mumbled to myself, "I should probably get going." Glancing at my watch, I felt as my hair brushed against my forehead. Tomorrow is the day.

My lips curled into a wide grin. I can't wait.

This shall be the downfall of heroes.
