Sitting in a guest room of a base that was new to Vongola, Giotto sat on the bed depressed. He had missed out on his children growing up, the birth of his second child which he didn't know the gender of, and he missed out on seeing his son become a husband and a father. He missed out on so many things. Why was this done to him? Why did he have to be alone? Giotto looked at his hands, scared from both the fights he had endured and the torture he went through. He balled them tightly into fists. If he hadn't been so weak, or so naive maybe he could have lived life alongside his wife. Maybe the things that had been taken from him wouldn't have been.

A knock on the hardwood door startled Giotto out of his thoughts. "Come in," he called letting his hands loosen. The door opened and Tsuna walked in, before closing the door behind him.

Tsuna rubbed the back of his neck. "Giotto, do you want to talk about it?"

Giotto looked at him surprised, he didn't think anyone would care to listen. "I may want to, but I shouldn't burden you more than I already am."

"You aren't burdening me at all. You're both the founder of Vongola and my grandfather, I'm happy to help you in any way I can," Tsuna stated as he sat on a chair he pulled to the side of the bed. "Besides, I would help anyone if they were in a similar situation."

They talked for a long while. Both got to know more about each other which helped Giotto quite a lot. Giotto knew it would take a while for him to get used to all this, but he has a family to help him. He enjoyed the rest of the stay in Japan touching up on the history that he had missed. He read a lot, even more on the plane trip back to Italy. Tsuna, however, was busy working on the paperwork he had skipped out on.

They arrived back at the manor, panic was in the air. Tsuna summoned Natsu to his side before leaving the flaming lion with Giotto. Giotto tilted his head confused, he looked at Natsu as the lion sat next to the wheelchair.

"Natsu, can you help me to my room?" Giotto asked the lion knowing it took him passed the infirmary. Natsu growled and got behind Giotto to help him to his room. Giotto thanked the lion leaning against the back of the wheelchair closing his eyes. The closer they got to the infirmary the louder panicked yelling got. Giotto raised an eyebrow in confusion and curiosity. It sounded like Ryoehi and Tsuna panicking trying to revive someone.

"Clear!" Ryohei yelled before a machine went off. Giotto moved away from Natsu's help moving over to the already partly open door. He shoved open the door but the main infirmary room was empty meaning the two were in a private room. Natsu gently pulled him back into the hallway before pushing him the rest of the way to his room. Giotto huffed a bit folding his arms as Natsu sat in front of the door blocking him in the room.

"What are they hiding?" Giotto questioned the lion. Natsu yawned laying down still blocking the doorway. The blond man groaned and moved over to the bed so he could continue to read the book Tsuna had given him to read before they had gotten back to the manor.

Natsu raised his head looking out the door, that caught Giotto's attention from his book. Giotto looked towards the door sitting up straight on his bed. Tsuna stepped into the threshold of the door a few moments later.

"What is it?" Giotto asked noticing how riled up and unkempt Tsuna looked. Tsuna walked over to Giotto easily stepping over Natsu.

"I have something to tell you Giotto," Tsuna began as he sat on the edge of the bed.

Giotto closed his book putting it to the side. "Okay, I'm listening."

Tsuna took a breath before starting. "You aren't the only one we freed from the Esperanto. We found one of your friends months before we found you. However, he has been under the drug they used until well a few minutes ago. That's what caused, at first, his breathing levels to drop dangerously. Then it caused his heart to stop-" Giotto was growing worried the more he heard, yet he was also growing excited. "We managed to get his heart started back up. Another high note is that he finally woke up and mistook me as you."

Giotto chuckled a bit. "You and I don't have the same coloring."

"I know," Tsuna mused. Giotto smiles relaxing, leaning back against the headboard and pillow. Memories flooded his mind. Those memories of his guardians were both fond and distasteful. The one his mind focused on was a good memory of him and G.
