He got to the school a little earlier than Yuta so he took the time to observe other students coming in, no one really caught his eye and he started to wonder if maybe he wouldn't recognize him at first glance. It has been a long time and people do change a lot but he was so sure that he would always remember his first love.
Yuta came running over, excitement clear in his smiling face and shining eyes.
"Are you ready? You get to see the love of my life." He sighs dreamily.
"I didn't know you had a boyfriend, you've never mentioned him before." Jaehyun casually mentioned as they walked toward the school.
"Sadly I don't. I don't think he knows I exist, but he's so beautiful and even if He doesn't know who I am I can still support him from afar." He sighs sadly as Jaehyun just chuckles.
"Just grow a pair and ask him out. What's the worst he could do? Say no? Then at least you can move on. Do you even know if he's gay?" Yuta smiles.
"Yes he's gay, he dated some guy before, and if he does say no it would shatter me." Jaehyun pats him on the back.
"But then, moving on would be easier, besides it has to feel worse to keep it bottled in so just do it." Yuta's smile grows.
"You know what? You're right. I'm going to do it tonight after the meet." Jaehyun laughs and pats him on the back.
"That's the spirit, now lets go watch your man."

When they got to the huge indoor pool it was stuffy and humid but excitement was still in the air. It was the first sporting competition for the school this year and their swim team was ranked number two for three years now and they are really hoping to turn that into a number one by the end of the season.
They sat toward the middle of the bleachers since the front was full already. Yuta wanted to be as close to his man as possible.
As some swimmers started entering the platform Yuta got a little excited and almost yelped.
"You act like you haven't seen him in a while, why?" Jaehyun asked knowing exactly what that feels like.
"It kinda turned out that way, when I wasn't in Japan this summer, he was in China. But that's ok, tonight I'm going to ask him to be my boyfriend and then I'll never let him out of my sight though. Except I won't be like Sehun, he goes a bit too far." Jaehyun frowned.
"Who's that?" Yuta didn't seem fazed by the question at all so obviously he has no trouble talking gossip.
"He is now a freshman in college but his boyfriend is still a senior here. I don't know I just heard that he's super jealous and gets angry easily. He's threatened a few people, even ones who were their friends at one point because he thought they were trying to steal his man." Yuta shrugged looking at the platform again when his eyes lit up completely.
"Ooh ooh, there. That's Sicheng, he's so pretty. Isn't he pretty." He sighs dreamily making Jaehyun coo at his cuteness. The previous conversation forgotten as he noticed the names of the swimmers start to appear on the board on the wall and when he read the name Lee Taeyong he almost stopped breathing.
He studied the swimmers faces until he saw the one he was looking for. He is even more beautiful now, breathtaking even. He looked calm while he sat and waited his turn with his headphones in making Jaehyun wonder what kind of music he liked these days. When his turn came he stood up sliding out of his jacket, revealing his body suit. It was different as most people were just wearing shorts but he figures maybe he's shy. From afar he looks concentrated, almost angry but there was something else there too that he couldn't pinpoint.
Jaehyun sat, almost in a daze for the whole thing, he's glad yuta decided to be quiet because he wouldn't have even heard anything he said anyway, and when it ended and Yuta suggested they wait outside the locker rooms Jaehyun was never so quick to agree to anything.
