"Mom, I found him! Taeyong, he goes to my school. I've missed him so much, I can't believe I found him." He smiles happily at his mother who only smirks at her boy.
"Wait, why do you look like that?" She laughs now patting him on the back.
"Did you honestly think I wouldn't have contacted his mother? I mean we were friends too you know? So I asked her where Taeyong was going to school and viola." She smirked happily at Jaehyun who's face has morphed from extremely happy to slightly confused to angry.
"So you've had their contact information the whole time, and she's had ours?" She frowns a bit knowing this might happen.
"I'm sorry baby I thought..." he huffs angrily and starts walking away.
"How heartless could you be? You knew how much it hurt me to move away from him and now I know I could have just called him on the fucking phone?" He doesn't even flinch at his own words directed at his mother. He never swears at or around her so this is new, she's not too angry because she knew he has every right to be mad.
"I'm sorry, let me explain please!" She says desperately.
"You've had years to do that, six years." He shakes his head and walks to the door.
"I'm going to a friends, I don't know if I'll be back tonight or not." With that he slams the door and walks away. Honestly he doesn't know where anyone lives and he doesn't want to interrupt anyone's night so he just walks to the park. He sits on a bench near the basketball courts and takes his phone out of his pocket. The messages popping up on his screen mostly make him mad since they are from her, asking if he's ok and what not. But when he gets to a certain unknown number he smiles.

Unknown: heyyyyy what's up it's me yongi?
He chuckles as he starts to type a reply.

Jaehyun: hi, Yongi, did you make it home ok?

Yongi: I did. I'm so glad I've met you again, I really did miss you so much and just so you know I'm not crying right now.

Jaehyun lets out a chuckle knowing his emotional friend is doing just that.
Jaehyun: I hope they're happy tears🤣

He waits for a while but a reply never comes and he hopes it just means Taeyong is sleeping, he decides to go to the top of the slide and sleep.

When morning rolls around he's still there, shivering at the top of the slide, almost regretting his decision to stay out all night but he thought his mom deserved it. He unfolded from the uncomfortable position and felt all the muscle aches immediately. He navigates his stiff body out of the park and heads for home.
By the time he reaches home he can't stop the uncontrollable shivers going through his body, the temperature was a bit colder than what he thought when he fell asleep angry. As he finally reaches the door he's almost given up at least three times but makes his destination only to slump against the door and fall to the floor.
His mother opens the door and startles when she sees her beloved son on the floor. She tries to drag him in but he's a bit heavy for her small frame.
"Taeyong, sweetie. Come here and help me please." As his foot steps near, Jaehyun looks up and tries to focus to see if his ears are deceiving him.
"T-tae? I-I'm c-cold." Taeyong smiles at his cuteness, even in this situation he really looks adorable. He picks him up, although he's heavy Taeyong has swimming to thank for his strength. The strength enough to get the boy to his room. After placing him on the bed he starts to remove his clothing so he'll warm up faster. He places a massive amount of blankets over him and sits beside him in bed. When he notices the shivering isn't slowing down much he crawls on top of him and holds him until the shivering stops.
When Jaehyun wakes with a heavy weight on top of him he realizes it wasn't a dream and Taeyong was really there. He stays still as long as he can to keep Taeyong in his arms longer. He ends up falling asleep again while hoping to wake up to this again.
