When he woke up this time Taeyong wasn't there, he really starts to wonder if it was a dream. He tries to get out of bed but he has a massive headache and feels like he'll die if he moves so he just lies back down on the pillow in hopes that someone will soon come and rescue him.
A whole ten agonizing minutes later Taeyong appears in his doorway, he lifts his hand to get Taeyong's attention.
"Tae, please can you get me my medicine for my head, it hurts so bad." Taeyong doesn't have to be asked twice. He jumps up and goes into the bathroom medicine cabinet and digs around until he finds a prescription for migraines. He brings that, a glass of water and a cool washcloth which he immediately puts on Jaehyun's head.
"When did you start getting migraines?" Taeyong whispers softly. Jaehyun swallows his pills and lies back down still in complete agony.
"A few years ago, but it really hurts to talk when it hurts this bad." Taeyong nods and takes his hand.
"I'll go then, leave you alone so you can feel better." He whispers.
"No." Jaehyun almost shouts out but grabs his head in pain first.
"What can I do to help then?" Jaehyun thinks for a moment.
"Turn the lights off, be really quiet and sit by me. Maybe rub my scalp or just hold my hand" Taeyong smiles cutely.
"Ok, I'll stay. But you need to rest some."
Taeyong crawls onto the bed and lets Jaehyun hold him. They are friends after all so why wouldn't he help out. He eventually falls asleep in his hold ignoring the fact that his phone is on the table receiving message after message. He'll deal with that later. He knows there will be consequences but in the moment he couldn't care less.

After about two hours Jaehyun wakes up, his head feels mostly better and he's being squished by the boy he's been in love with for a very long time. He has confirmed by now that he still feels the same and hopes to one day have his feelings reciprocated.
He's confused and annoyed at the flashing light of the phone on his night stand and goes to click off the phone when he accidentally reads some of the messages.
Sehun: you better be alone right now

Sehun: when I find you, you will regret avoiding me.
Sehun: LEE TAEYONG

Jaehyun quickly shuts it off and tosses it to the table like it's going to hurt him. He's terrified for Yongie and when he reread the name sehun he was brought back to something Yuta said. Is this the boyfriend he was talking about? He looks over and sees Taeyong staring at him with his big doe eyes filled with terror.
"Did you read my messages?" Jaehyun shakes his head and waves his hands as Taeyong sits up.
"No. No, at least not on purpose. I only saw the last few. I-is Sehun your boyfriend?" He asks worried.
"Yes he is and he's a little possessive but he cares for me and he was here for me when you weren't." Taeyong yells defensively as he jumps off the bed to grab his phone and leave but stops as soon as he gets to the door upon hearing what Jaehyun has to say.
"You're right, I wasn't here. But god I wished I was every second of everyday. I can't change the past but I can change our present, our future. I'll protect you from him, I'll love you how you should be, soft and gentle." With this Taeyong walked out. Jaehyun didn't see the tears streaming down his face, or the fact that he had to stop in an alleyway to bawl his eyes out in fear and regret. Nor did he see the beating Taeyong took at his expense, the bruises hidden just enough where no one else can see. They are a constant reminder of who he belongs to and why.
