I fell in Love with my best friend.

I slowly walked over to his motionless body,

“Harry?”

He didn’t respond, he just stormed up the stairs into the spare bedroom.

“Guys, he’s broken.” I blurted out, turning and facing the boys who were looking down at their feet.

“Jess, you should go talk to him. He will really only listen to you.” Zayn said, forcing a smile.

I took his advice and walked up the stairs. I made my way to the door and put my ear against it, I heard faint sobbing. Harry was so strong, and to see him cry breaks me.

“Harry?” I called from outside, getting no response back.

I took it upon myself to open the door; it was the only way I could help.

“Harry?”

“What.” He mumbled, it sounded more like a statement rather than a question.

“You alright?”

He looked up at me, his red eyes puffy and red. He had tear strains coming down from his eyes and a wet stain on the bed from where he had his head.

“Why does this happen to me Boo?”

“What?”

“Why do girls just date me for the money and fame? Am I really that unlikeable?”

I felt like crying right then, Abi had just crushed him so hard, so hard that he thinks no one likes him.

“No Harry. The girls who date you for the money and fame are just bitches, ok? You deserve better than them, and you’ll find your princess, I promise. There will be that one girl who stands out amongst all the others and she will love you for you and not anybody else. Now that, I can promise.”

He smiled a little, more like a forced smile. I could tell he was still broken, but he was repairing. He stood up and from the floor and jumped on the bed, rather dull like. He lay down and patted the spot next to him, signalling for me to sit lay down. I accepted and smiled, I got comfortable next to him and he wrapped his arms around me.

“Jess?”

“Hmmhh?”

“Thank you. And I’m sorry for saying what I said, I didn’t mean it, and I’m sorry for not believing you when I should have known you were telling the truth.”

“Shhh, let’s just pretend it never happened, ok?”

He nodded in agreement and we just sat there, entertaining each other by talking about the most random things.
