Charles found himself in front of Dianas' door two hours after leaving Nathalie.

He'd driven around aimlessly trying to come to terms with the fact that once faced with the ring she still didn't choose him it'd ripped his heart to pieces and he was desperately trying to pull it back together.

Knock, knock, knock

He waited for her to come to the door knowing that the concierge would have already called to let her know that he was on his way up

"Charles what on earth are you doing at my door this hour"

"I came to collect the keys to the Yacht"

"11:30 at night?"

"Yes, do you mind?"

"No why would I mind you're a Morgan and Morgans can do whatever they want" She gave him a sarcastic laugh then stepped aside to let him in

He'd always hated Diana's apartment it had the same bright colors she had in her office and didn't quite reflect the darkness that lived within' her

"Keys"

"Thanks" He took the keys and headed towards the door

"Drink for old times"

"Don't you want to get back to bed it's late"

"I shouldn't have gotten out did you have a lovers spat if you need somewhere to crash tonight you can always depend on your ex Diana"

"No thanks Diana" and he turned to leave

"Just one drink Charles or do you hate me that much"

"I don't hate you Diana" She looked at him wantonly "Just one drink," he said closing her door and following her to the bar

He took the bourbon from her hand and put the keys safely in his pocket taking a long sip

"If you drink to fast we'll have to make it two drinks"

"I'm only here for the keys"

"The keys you didn't know that was here until today"

"Suspicious much"

"It seems strange that you show up at my door at all now that you're married off"

Charles felt sleepy suddenly and gripped the bar to keep himself upright

"You okay?"

"I'm sleepy"

"Well it is late let me help you to a chair"

"What'd you do Diana," He asked falling into one of her antique loveseats

"How am I responsible for you being tired"

"I wasn't tired when I got here" he struggled to keep his eyes open and felt his body going limp

Just before he drifted off Diana opened his mouth and put a tablet to the back of his throat pouring the balance of the bourbon in forcing him to swallow.

"These work better while you're still awake"

He grunted at her and furrowed his eyebrows just before it all went dark

The sunlight filtered through the window and Charles groggily rolled out of his sleep.

He fought to pull himself out of the bed and his heart was beating loudly in his head. He sat up naked and looked around the room noticing that the colors were bright and he curled his fists against the silk sheets turning to see Diana sleeping on the bed beside him.
