Chapter 1: Afterlife

I laid the bouquet of white roses by her rock made grave stone; the engravings were still visible and readable. It was impossible for me to come here alone as I would always cry uncontrollably and my mind would lose all sense of sanity, but it seems as time passed by I just learned to face reality and accept her absence. Tears wouldn't fall down my cheeks anymore and my heart stopped breaking everyday, this was only because I couldn't let out any tears anymore because I cried them all out, my heart wouldn't break everyday because it reached to the extent that it was fully broken.

The clouds opened wider and the rain fell more; my black umbrella protected my angel and I from getting wet. I held her hand tightly as I sighed and looked over to her, she couldn't stop staring at the letters written on the gravestone. I noticed a tear run down her cheek, which made my sadden in silence, I knelt to her height and looked up to her. I gave her a reassuring smile before she broke down and let her cries come out, she lunged herself to me, her little arms wrapping round me as I secured her in my hold.

"I miss her so much!" She weeped, I pulled her away so she'd look at me, her eyes showed so much pain it even worried me considering how young she was.

"We'll be okay sweetie, I promise..." I quietly said, she nodded her head and wiped her last tears. I stood up and looked back to the grave. I knew she was gone...but I felt she was still around us.
She told me that one day we will all lose the one thing that gave us meaning and happiness in life, but she also told me that it would never die out as long as you hope for a brighter future. So that's what I'm going to do, fulfill her word by hoping for the best and continuing with the journey.

"I miss her too my angel, but we must be strong for her..."

FEW YEARS AGO...

"That's amazing, when do they expect you to finish the album then?" I asked Justin as we were all sat outside on the patio, we invited Selena, Nathan and their little one over for lunch and since the weather was good we were using it to our advantage.

"This year, then I have to complete my fashion collection with Calvin Klein," Justin informed,

"You're going to overwork yourself Jay," I said, he shook his head,

"Work hard, play harder later," he said, I rolled my eyes and continued to eat my salad.

"Playing hard is fun!" Conor shouted as he clapped his hands, Conor is Selena and Nathan's 4 year old son. I still remember the day Selena was in hospital in utter pain as she was in labour, lil' Conor showed up without any warning signs what so ever.

"Can't believe my little boy is going to be in pre school next week!" Selena said stroking his dark brown, curly hair, Conor beamed his eyes as he smiled widely before continuing to eat with his mouth open, we all laughed. "Guess we all know where he gets his manners?" Selena groaned, we all looked over to Nathan before he shrugged.

"Aye, why're you looking at me, I'm very polite," Nathan said with his mouth also full, Selena rolled her eyes.

I heard crying coming from inside the house, I easily knew the familiar sobs. I didn't hesitate to stand up but Justin held my arm so I'd stop,

"It's okay, I can go," he said,

"Don't worry Justin, I'll go she must be hungry now," I said smiling, Justin nodded and sat back down. I walked through the patio doors and down the hallway to her bedroom; her door was painted white with pink and purple flower designs and her name written on it as well. I opened the door to see her laying in her crib covered by a warm purple blanket and soft pillows surrounding her. Her bedroom was painted in a lavender, purple colour with toys scattered on the floor.
