merediths POV
<at Meredith's house>
*knock knock*
I went to answer the door. As soon as I opened it I couldn't breathe.
"D-Derek?!"
"Ah Meredith! Sorry I've been gone so long. I lost my keys." He held up his hand with keys in them.
"W-what? What's happening?"
"Meredith is that Derek?" That voice sounded really familiar.
George.
He came around the corner from the living room with his classic messy hair.
"What is going on?"
Derek grabbed my hand. "I missed you."
George smiled
"Me too."
Then, I woke up.
"Andrew?"
silence //
I got up from the bed and he wasn't there.
"ANDREW?"
"Wwhaatt?" He said sleepily.
"Can you come here?"
"Yeah yeah."
I watched closely as he came down.
"Is th-this a dream?"
"You tell me." He said sitting down next to me.
"I saw people."
"What do you mean?"
"D-derek and George. George was an intern with me and we were residents. He got hit by a bus." I almost started laughing remembering the funeral.
He put his arm on my shoulder. "I'm so sorry."
<A few minutes later!1!1>
"Maybe later we coul-" He was interrupted by both of our pagers going off with a 911.
"Oh no!"
<in the patients room>
"He's been coding for a minute now!" The nurse said frantically.
We worked quickly to save the patient. (I don't know medical things).
"Charge to 200!"
"Clear!" I said as the paddles sent a shock to the patient's heart.
No response.
"CHARGE AGAIN!"
This happened 2 more times.
"Alright. Call it Deluca."
"Time of death 0230."
I slowly walked out of room and went to sit down on a nearby bench. I watched Deluca follow me out and sit next to me.
"Hey..."
"Hi." I replied.
"Sorry about that patient."
"There was nothing we could do."
"Meredith if you want to talk about any of that... You can. With me."
"Thanks."
<hOuRs LaTeR>
It was morning by the time I left the hospital. I took a little nap at home before getting up again. When I checked my phone, I got a message from a number I didn't recognize.
"You better stop." Is all the message said.
"Who is this?" I asked the number back.
"That's not important. What's important is that you stop talking to him." The person typed back.
"To who?"
"Deluca."
