A sudden sickness

It's been a week and a half since Jen and Alex met. Jen has totally forgotten him.
It's Wednesday morning and this particular morning Jennifer is not feeling well. Her stomach hurt so bad. She grabs the pillow on her right and tuck it under her stomach. It doesn't help. She sighs knowing that she have to wake up, she has to work. She tries to wake up but fails. She's too tired to even yell for help. She grabs her phone and call her mother.

Phone call:
Jen: good morning mom
Lupe: Good morning baby, you don't sound well. What's the matter?
Jen: that's why I called, my stomach is hurting so bad. I can't even move.
Lupe: You want me to call an ambulance or something? That sounds serious.
Jen: No. no . No. I just wanted to know what it was.
Lupe: well I don't know. But call an ambulance and I'll be on my way.
Jen: Mom it's not that serious. I'll go away after a moment
Lupe: Jennifer. I'm tell you call an ambulance Now , that ain't no joke.

The Bronx came out directly

Jen: Ok ma' I will 🙄
Lupe: NOW

Jen hang up and signs "why did I even call her". She then calls Benny and asks her to come. It didn't even take a second and he was there. Just as worried as Jen's mother was. The spent five minutes of him asking her simple questions but all of a sudden she starts screaming " it hurts, it hurts, it hurts so bad. Call an ambulance. Do it, Do it. NOOW." Her whole team heard that and runs up as quick as they could. "Are you ok? " they asked.
"Hell no , I'm not. I feel like giving birth to some demons or something " she yells🤬

Five minutes late the ambulance arrives, the look at her with fear in their eyes. They have no idea of what's going on. The give her some painkiller but it doesn't help. They instead gives her some sleeping pills.

"What the hell? Are you out of your minds or something? First you give her some shit that doesn't help and still you ad other." Benny yells at them.
"Sir. We can't examine her while she in pain, she has to calm down and if the painkiller didn't help the pills will. It's all for her best." One of the three men says.

Benny looks away as Jennifer's slowly falling to sleep. Emma started crying. Max was sad too but didn't show it. He just hugged his sister in silence. Emme then ask Benny.

"Is she going to die?" She says while crying😭
"No. No, of course not." He hugs both Emme and max.

Jen is now asleep and the ambulance goes with her. The rest of the family takes the car and drive behind the ambulance. They drove in silence. Not even a single soul said a thing. When they arrived a doctor comes and tells them to wait until there called in. They took Jen to her room and put the oxygen mask on. After a while Lupe comes and is told to go wait with the rest of the family. The doctors tells the family that it's nothing serious and that they shouldn't worry.

2h later.......

Doctor: Hi again. So we've done some test on her and we've found some things but not dangerous ones. She's totally fine now and is resting. She awake now, she didn't sleep for long. She can have visit in a few but not all of you can come in. U would like to speak to her responsible.... I mean like husband or something.

He then points at Benny.

"I'm not her husband. I'm her manager." Benny says annoyed
"Oh sorry, didn't mean to. I just thought-......
"We are the responsible. I mean her parents ." Lupe says while telling David to come up.
"Ok, does she maybe have children?" He asks

Max and Emme stood up quickly.

"Good . We Thought you could be her first visitors. Only if it's ok with all of you." He says.

Everyone nods with approval. And the doctor show them the way. Inside the room they see Jen and Emme starts crying happy tears knowing that her mom is ok. Jen smile at her. She doesn't have her oxygen mask on anymore. Her kids and parents hug her and sit beside her. She asks them of what happen and is trying to process it. Just then she hears a sound from her. At first she was confused and then she looks up and it's a text from Alex.

Alex: Hi, this is Alex. Don't know if you remember me. We met at the park?
Jen: yeah, Alex Rodriguez right?
Alex: that's me
Jen: I'm sorry but, how did you get my my number? Was it Leah?
Alex: No , actually I got it from the very first time we met. On the field.
Jen: ok......
Alex: anyways. Just wanted to know how you're hold up. Are you ok?
Jen: I'm better now, thanks .
Alex: Now?? What happened.😯
Jen: Nothing just some strange sickness here and there. But I'm at the hospital and feeling much better.
Alex: HOSPITAL? What hospital. Text me the address and I'll be there in a sec
Jen: Thanks for your concern but it's really nothing.
Alex: No I want to be there for you as a friend you know....
Jen: really it's nothing. Btw the are going to let me leave in couple of hours. So that won't be necessary.
Alex: When can I see you then. Just to make sure you're fr ok. If ok, of course.
Jen: yeah, sure. Maybe Saturday or Sunday. I free by then.
Alex. Great. I will see you then. Get well soon
Jen: I will😶

Jen just looks at her mother and smile. She puts her phone away. She thought of calling Leah but didn't, she knows how crazy Leah and her thoughts can be.
The doctor come in again and give her a paper with all the things she should and shouldn't to in order for her to get well. He tells her that the rules are pretty hard, but I'll just last for a month and that she has to do her best.
He later on tells them that they're going to some more tests before letting her go. Emme and max hugs her. The only thing she could think of at that moment was Leah's reaction.
