It was a bad joke

Alex's POV
I ask my assistant if she can watch the kids while I'm going for a "walk" and she accepts.
I'm driving the fastest I can to Jennifer. I'm gonna find out who the douchebag is and I'm going to fucking kill him. Jennifer is mine, ONLY mine.

I arrive at her place and there is this big guy asking me who I am. "I'm her fucking boyfriend, let me in now" I say
He lets me go.
Jennifer's POV
Just as I'm about to go upstairs I hear someone at the door being to loud. The person somehow opens the door and it's Alex.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" I say
"Go home, it's late" I say
"Who is that guys you were talking about?" He replies
"Mind your own business. You don't have to know about everyone I'm with" I say
"Yes I do, you are my girlfriend still and it's my duty to protect you " he say
"Ohh pls, duty? Who am I to you? Nothing, I don't know if you remember but this morning you reminded me that we're not a couple anymore" I say smiling even though the thought of it makes me wanna cry
"That's not what I said. I said: I thought we were broken up or something. THOUGHT." He says
"Yes, and you said that it doesn't count as cheating so why are you here. Aren't you going to continue with the video you started watching?" I say
"So you tried to get back at me by sleeping with me brother? If this is true I'm going to kill both of you" he say trying to scare me
"First of all Who said it was you brother? I said he looked familiar. But is wasn't a bad guess. And second even if this is true or not you're not going to do anything, like I said it's none of your business" I say smiling but I'm freaking out inside
"Fine then, since you won't tell me who that guy is I'm going to find him myself" he says going to the kitchen
He picks the biggest knife he could find and I almost pee myself.

"Wtf is wrong with you. What are you going to do with that? Kill me? I'm my own house? For sleeping with someone else other than you?" I say angrily just do scare him a little bit but it doesn't work
"No, I'm going to find that motherfucker and I'm going to fucking kill him" Alex says

I knew he was crazy but not like this.
"Alex, put that down. NOW." I say and just then my kids comes running. When they see Alex they both instantly freeze. They start crying and I can feel their fair and I'm afraid too but I play it cool.
"Mommy, are we gonna die? Is he gonna kill us?" Emme asks crying
"No, baby. Of course not. Just go back to your room. He's just helping me prepare for my new season of SoB." I say trying to calm them down
"But why is he so serious?" Max says
"Because it's acting. Just go back to your rooms and I'll meet you when I'm done." I say

They run away. Finally.
"Are you out of your fucking mind? You're fucking scaring my kids" I say taking a step forwards
"Tell me his name fucking and there will be less blood" he says seriously and I panic
"Whose name?" I asked shaking
"The motherfucker's" he says cold-blooded
"What motherfucker?" I say almost crying in terror. I've never been this terrified my whole life
"Stop, playing. If you don't tell me which one of my brothers you fucked, I'm going to kill them both and bring you their dicks and you'll have to decide which one of them it was." He say hold the knife even tighter
"I don't know.. I mean it's none of them. It's no one. Pls just put it down we can talk about this. Pls look at me, I promise I'll explain everything." I say crying
He doesn't seem to be in the same planet as me. I slowly walk to him trying to calm him down. And then I hold his hand where he had the knife. I hold it as tight as I can
"It's ok, you can let go now. Just let it go." I whisper putting my head on his chest. He slowly let's go of it. I sigh in relief as he holds me tight

30 minutes later
Jennifer and Alex are sitting in on couch and Jen is still crying while trying to explain why she lied and how sorry she is for what just happened.
"I know you're sorry but you can't be lying about stuff like this. You're only mine and I ain't got no intentions of sharing you with anyone" Alex says
"I get it but you've got to know that I'm a person. I can be your girlfriend but not your property. I'm free to do whatever I want without you threatening to kill people. I wouldn't be threatening people just because YOU chose to sleep with them" Jen says
"I know I overreacted a little bit and sorry for that. I will never do it again. It's just that I don't want to lose you" he says
"AND things have to be equal between us. If you do something and it's just fine because you "thought" or "accidentally did it" then It'll have have to be the same for me, or else we will never make it" Jen says
"Yes of course. I made a mistake and it'll never happen again. And I'm so sorry about your kids." Alex say kissing Jen's forehead
It's silent for a while then Alex leans in and kisses softly and passionately on the lips, she kisses back.

Max tiptoes to the living room and he sees Jen and Alex making out. He tiptoes back to Emme's room.
"Stop crying. We're not in danger, mom was right they were just preparing for her movie or whatever" Max says
"And how do you know?" Emme says still crying
" because.... you can go and see for yourself." Max says disgusted
"What do you mean? Is he gone?" Emme says wiping away her tears
"No, less pleasant and more disgusting " Max says
"Eeewww."  Emme says covering her face with her pillows
They both laugh and max goes back to his room.
