Mari/ Ladybugs POV (point of view)

"Pound it!"

Another day of saving Paris, another akuma de-evilized, but there was only one problem- I was suppose to meet up with Alya an hour ago, and I still hadn't gotten to finish my homework.

I ran as quickly as I could to the park, where I was meeting her. She was still there, sleeping on a blanket on the ground.

"Alya I'm here! Wake up!" I poked Hera couple times before I shook her awake, and she snapped up right away.

"Girl, do you know how long I've been waiting for you?" Alya asked.

"Do you know what you missed?" I asked in return.

"Don't change the subject. What's going on? You've been more and more late lately." I knew she was right, but I couldn't come up with a good enough excuse. I'd been using them for years, and now I had run out.

"I just lost track of time. It's been hard shuffling all of my chores. I didn't even have time to finish my homework today," I didn't like lying to Alya, but I also knew that telling her my biggest secret, and sacrificing hers, mine, and all of my friends safety was not an option.

"So... what did you want to tell me an hour ago?" I asked, remembering why she texted me to come in the first place.

"Right. So, the bakery sale next Saturday is a very big deal, as you know, and you know who else will be there?"

"A-Adrien? Another plan? It won't work I can't even wave without stuttering, which isn't even physically possible for anyone but me!" I obviously wanted to talk to Adrien, and hated myself for the fact that I couldn't.

"C'mon, you just gotta say 'hello Adrien. I've had the biggest crush on you for years and I've been scared to tell you,' and then see what he says." I laughed.

"Easier said than done."

Adrien walked by us as I said that and I nearly passed out. If he had heard what Alya said, I would die right there on the spot. I also might cry of happiness and awkwardness at the same time.

"What's easier said than done?" I sighed a sigh of relief. Maybe it had some disappointment as well.

"Uh- just- uh-" I stuttered, as always.

"We're talking about waking up early in the morning. Most difficult thing in the world. Right Marinette?" I nodded.

"Haha! You're right Marinette!" Adrien laughed, the most beautiful laugh in the world. It made me smile and laugh a bit too.

At night, there was another akuma. We defeated this one quickly. It was again.

"I don't know why Hawkmoth would keep on using him. Poor guy just loves his pigeons." Cat Noir said before we departed. "I mean, just leave the guy with his pigeons! He already feels bad enough that he's causing trouble."

I just nodded. It was probably midnight, and it was Sunday night. I had finally finished my homework after the meet at the park, but now I would be asleep in class. Or late to school. They were both really bad.

Yawning, I ran to an alley and de-transformed. When I was walking back out, somebody ran into me. When they looked at me with wide eyes, I thought they had seen me de-transform. When they didn't say anything, neither did I.

"H-hi?" The girl said. She had blue hair and deep blue eyes that looked terrified.

"Are you okay? You don't look so good." I asked. She looked at me for a second before she started crying, and I immediately hugged her, trying to comfort her. She hugged back.

"I'm so lost. I don't know how I got here, or why I'm here..." she said between sobs.

"Where is your home?" She shrugged and shook her head. "I'll take you home with me. We'll find your parents, it's okay."

She was still nodding her head, but not able to speak through the seemingly endless sobs.

When we reached the bakery that doubled as my home, I told my mother what happened and took the girl to my room for the night. She had managed her name when I had asked. Kaylee was her name.

I set up a sleeping bag for her and lots of warm blankets she could sleep on. While I did that, I took all my pictures of Adrien down. She hadn't seen my room yet, so she would see it how I wanted her to- normal.

"Where do you think she came from? I've never seen her around before," said a little squeaky voice that came from Tikki.

"I don't know, but she needs help, so I will give it to her."

We didn't really talk, never really got the chance to. The moment Kaylee's head hit the pillow she was out.
