Marinette POV

There was still talking in the night from Kaylee, but this time she seemed to be talking to her mom about something. Her real mom. Her mothers name was Elise. She was asking her mother if she could go to her friend Taylor's house with a few other friends. I had no idea who Taylor was, but by the way she talked out her dream she was crazy. When her mother said yes, she started humming a tune, then mumbled some words, only one audible to me. That word was Miraculous.

In the morning we walked to school. Kaylee was able to wake me up early so we weren't late. On our way there we talked about mine and Kitty's akuma battles. We talked about me as if we weren't talking about me; in the third person.

School was the same as it always was, but now Chloe was being a brat towards me and Kaylee. It made me angry, but I knew to control my anger. Kaylee did, too.

The Kaylee smiled smugly at me. "What?" I asked. Then I saw. Adrien was walking up to us. My cheeks changed straight to red, my brain straight to absolute mush.

"Hi Marinette! Hi Kaylee!" Adrien greeted.

"H-hi A-Adrien!"

"Hi Adrien! I was wondering if you wanted to hang out with us later. It will be lots of fun." When I didn't respond, she nudged me.

"Y-yeah! We'll be at the school after park. Park after school, I mean. Hehehe..." I sighed.

"Cool! I will be there! What time?" Adrien asked, shooting a smile.

"3:00" Kaylee responded.

I smiled stupidly until he walked away.

"Oh c'mon. You have to tell him. I would tell him for you, but that's not right! If anything, it's Alya's job," Kaylee said. "Where is Alya, anyway?" I just shrugged.

"I wonder if she's sick today," Kaylee added.

"I will call her later. She can come to the park with us."

I heard some screaming coming from the main lobby of the school. An akuma!

"I have to go. You should run too." I advised.

She nodded, but I didn't know if it was to me or to herself, if she was going to stay safe or not.

I ran to a janitors closet to transform.
