Kaylee POV

We reached the door of Master Fu's apartment. My heart beat hard in my chest. It shouldn't be, I knew he was a kind man, but it was.

We walked inside when he told us to, right when Marinette poised her fist over the door.

"Welcome, Kaylee. Marinette, please wait outside." She nodded and left.

"Umm... hi... umm..." I mentally kicked myself.

"I have heard much about you, Kaylee. You are from another world?" I nodded. He got up and walked to the miracle box, then reached for a small box next to it. "Can you tell me when you arrived?"

"Two days ago. I woke up here Sunday morning, and have been here since."

He walked back over with the small box. "Midnight, I'm guessing that's when you arrived, asleep, was when this little creature appeared." He opened the boxed and I peeped in. Inside it was a deep blue creature with light blue circles over its body.

"Is that... a kwami?" I asked.

"Yes. It is not from this world. Like you. It is new. It will be yours. If you accept."

"Would Marinette know? Would we- could we- tell her?" I asked.

"Yes. But only Marinette. Her knowing could help you get back home." I nodded in response.

He handed me the little box holding the Kwami. Then he handed me a bracelet. What looked like beads made of coral in many colors made up the bracelet, along with some other beads in between them. On the end was a key charm with a smaller coral bead inside. It was beautiful.

"This is the Miraculous." I said. "This can't be real," I laughed, sounding slightly crazy. "No, this isn't real. Your not Master Fu. The girl outside isn't Marinette. This is all fake. No." I was denying out loud but on the inside I knew it was true.

"How do you know? If you are not from this world how do you know of us?"

"In my world, your world is a show. Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir. It's hard to believe this is real." I answered.

"Go home with Marinette. You should stay with her for a while. It would be best, since your kwami is new. It is very weak, and it will take time before you can use it." Master Fu explained.

"Thank-you." I said.

"Now you must prove you deserve it. I trust Marinette, but you must earn your trust."

"I will prove myself very worthy. Thank-you," I said again.

I walked out of the door with the box and bracelet in my hands. We walked to Marinette's house without a word. When we got there, I told her everything. I showed her my passed out Kwami, and the miraculous as well.

"I have to stay here for a while. I don't know how long. I will talk with my parents. Master never told me what hero this kwami would make me. I wonder if he knows. He said it is new."

I called my parents, their number in the phone I found on my nightstand the day of my arrival and called them. They were fine with me staying with Marinette as long as I wished, as long as I checked in with a call every evening. I guess they thought it was good that their daughter was opening up after a big move. Also that I seemed to be acting normal to them, although nothing was normal.

Everything, in fact, seemed upside down.
