Chapter 7

Marinette POV

Kaylee didn't talk in her sleep this time, but she was softly whining. She was dreaming about her home. I knew she was. She missed her family. Who wouldn't under the circumstances?

School was the same as usual, accept for Lila being back. Her innocent act made my insides burn with uncontrollable rage.

"Hey, girl, calm down. I know she gets on your nerves, but you need to relax." Alya said, seemingly worried.

Once she left, Kaylee walked over.

"Don't worry. You're not the only one who hates her. I know about her lies." Kaylee said, glaring at Lila. Lila saw her and waved her over. Kaylee obediently walked over, and me, thinking something was gonna happen, walked with her.

"So, Kaylee, I heard that you have been staying with Marinette. Did her parents adopt you? Are you sisters now?" Lila asked. She didn't sound rude, but her words still bubbled anger in me.

"No. I'm staying with her because my parent are doing some renovation. Also it's none of your business, Lila." Lila sounded like spit poison across the space between them. A word that in itself described the worst person in the room.

Lila looked at her blankly. "I don't know what I did to make you angry at me Kaylee. I have been only kind to you."

"Kindness is not threatening someone with you will regret this, kindness is not lying to all of these kind hearted people I gladly call my friends. You are worst than Chloe, and that's saying a lot, Lila." Kaylee retorted.

Now everybody stared at Lila with utter shock. Maybe Lila would finally realize that not everybody believed her lies. Good.

"That is so hurtful, Kaylee. I never threatened you with anything-"

"You threatened Marinette too. You threaten everybody who knows that you lie. You. Are. A. Liar." Kaylee spat.

Lila started fake crying. Kaylee was called to the office.
