Seven// she knows

Donny's POV

"Dad, ahm, we're just eating. We just met our friend Kisses thats why we're here. Right, Dons?" Ate Ella said, trying to explain our side.

I just look at her and nod. I don't want to say anything 'cause like what Ate Ella said, I'm not a good liar.

"Kisses...?" Dad asked. Then I saw Kisses stand up from her seat and smile at Daddy.

"Hi, Tito. Do you still remember me?"

"Oh, wait, Kirsten is that you?" I saw how Daddy's mood shift. Saka siya lumapit kay Kisses at nagbeso.

"How are you? Where's your Dad?" Daddy said.

"They're not here Tito, I'm with Ate Ella and Donny." Kisses said, happiness are evidence in her face.

Oh...kay, so they knew each other? I'm confused.

"You guys knew each other?" Kita sa mukha ni Ate Ella ang pagtataka tulad ko. Pareho kaming nakatingin sa kanilang dalawa at naghihintay ng sagot.

Nagkatinginan si Dad at Kisses then they both laugh at our reaction.

"You won't remember Kisses? When you guys are little, their family went to our house and spend their christmas with us." Daddy said. Then a memory came back in my head. . .

"Mom, I'm so hungry, my tummy is speaking to me already." Little Hannah said while pulling mommy's hand.

"Wait lang baby. Just seat over there, our visitors are on their way na, okey? Like what I said patience is. . . ." Mommy said waiting for Hannah's answer.

". . . a virtue" Hannah said then Mommy smile and gave her a pat on her head. Little Hannah continued her tantrums when we heard the sound of our doorbell.

"There they are!" Mommy said in her enthusiasm. Then a man and a lady entered our dinning room. Mommy and Daddy gave them a hug.

"Nagdala kami ng mga regalo para sa mga bata." sabi ng Lalaki habang nakaturo sa mga dala nilang regalo na hawak ngayon ng mga maids namin.

"Naku, nagabala pa kayo. Thank you for accepting our invites ah. Where's your daughter?" Mommy said.

Then a little girl wearing a red dress and have a red ribbon on her head appeared. I look at her and the way she smile and mano kay Mommy and Daddy.

"So cute! Kirsten come... give me a kiss." Then mommy squat so that they have the same level. The girl kiss Mommy on the cheek and hide again on her Mommy's back.

"Hon, paupuin muna natin sila, mamaya mo na panggigilan ang anak nila't baka mausog mo yan." Sabi ni Daddy at nagtawanan silang apat.

My eyes stayed on the little girl's face. I don't know what got into me but I can't get off my eyes on her. I'm just watching her actions; the way she smile, talk, and even eat.

"Donny?" My bubble poops when I heard my Mom called my name. " I said say Hi to our visitors"  Nasa harap na pala namin sila at nakaupo kasama namin.

"Hi po." I said in my lowest voice. Naramdaman ko ang paginit ng mukha ko. I'm too shy.

"Naku, ganyan talaga yan si Donny. Masyadong mahiyain." Mommy said and continue eating.

I look at the little girls direction, she's also looking at me. We look at each other then slowly she smiled at me. I don't usual smile at other people because I'm too shy, but when that girl smile, I have this urge feeling to also smile back. Since that day, I always dreamt about how beautiful her smile is. Then I started to smile more often too.
