I yawned and twirled the pen in my fingers, waiting impatiently for the meeting to end. We had been in the meeting for more than an hour and it began to frustrate me as the same topic was discussed and argued about the whole time. A board meeting was the right name. Everyone was all dressed in suits and egos, not a smile that wasn't painted on their grim faces and an opinion that wasn't so safe as to be completely pointless.

My eyes flickered over to Max, whose head was tilted slightly to his left, resting on his shoulder and his eyes were closed, lips parted. I kicked his foot under the table and Max jerked away. I smirked at him and Max mouthed something to me but I couldn't figure out what.

"Anything you'd like to share?" Maya's voice pierced through the silence and she eyed Max coldly.

Max's eyes darted between the three Elders that sat around the table and he fumbled awkwardly with his tie. "Uhhh, yes." He cleared his throat and I scoffed. Did he even know what we were discussing?

"The students are getting out of hand." He added nervously and glanced back at me for help.

"Do you even know what we were discussing?" Maya arched a perfect eyebrow and twisted her lips.

Max shook his head slowly and smiled awkwardly at the Elders. "We've been in here for an hour!" He exclaimed. "It's one in the morning."

Maya shook her head slowly and breathed deeply. "This is an important issue." She said with a roll of her eyes.

"What could be more important than getting rest?" Max spat back angrily and I kicked his leg again under the table, warning him to control his anger.

"What could we be talking about?" Maya asked sarcastically. "The prophecy, you idiot!"

I cleared my throat and Maya's cold brown eyes pierced into my own. "I have something to say," I said confidently. "You are all wrong about the prophecy," I stated and grinned.

Every Elder turned to me, each with a look of astonishment plastered onto the perfect faces. Maya pursed her lips and gestured for me to continue.

"The prophecy is real and it will happen. The Theiro will return." I said as I lifted my head.

Conversation broke out and the Elders began arguing with me.

"You don't have any proof to suggest such things!" Graham shot at me.

"The reign of the first Theiro was ended years ago!" Kelis spat at me and gritted her teeth.

Max stared at me with wild eyes. He too thought I was wrong.

Maya scoffed and crossed her arms. "Mister Evans, you cannot say things like that. You don't have sufficient proof to say that the Theiro will return. Now please, we must discuss what to do with the prophecy and let's not come across this conversation again." She warned me.

I got up from my seat angrily and banged my fist on the wooden table. "Oh, the Theiro will return. But we won't be prepared because everyone is denying it!" I yelled. "When the Theiro destroys everything, you all will be to blame," I said and exited the room.

The cool night breeze blew lightly through the night and the clouds covered the moon, casting an eery glow on Phenomena. I heard footsteps approach me from behind and I frowned. "You can go away, Max."
