It was a day after, and Saguru fever got down, and the other had slept through most of the day other than eating and drinking. At least he had not to worry about having his fever go up again. Yesterday Aoko didn't come luckily and he guessed it had to do with the talk of Saguru. He was glad about this as he managed to relax at least a bit. He hadn't cut himself, but he still felt the sorrow, the pain, and the loneliness when the other was asleep. Kaito had been tempted to cut himself again, but in the end he hadn't. As ge promised of his favorite critics not to harm him again.

---

Kaito got startled as the door opened, he must have forgotten about locking the door yesterday after going to buy grocery and he knew what would happen next.

Why can't she just leave him alone? Why was she still bothering? Can't she just see that he just wants to be alone, not to mention upstairs is a sick Saguru? His eyes dulled, yet his cheery poker facade on after all he couldn't let her to see his real feelings.

"Morning Aoko.~"

He chirped in his fake cheeriness and the girl simply didn't notice or not simply not bothering to look more closely.

"Morning as well, I came to pick you up and did you hear Kaito Kid managed to get that Gem again. He is just an annoyance. And he is just should stop it and making my father embarrassed. I so can't believe it. I still don't get why people like him, for me he is an annoyance and a criminal."

His facade stayed intact, but on the inside, he was dying, with each word she told him. Each word felt like he would have been stabbed. Each word were so painful. He didn't show it and just continued with his act.

"Oh come on, Kaito Kid isn't that bad. He did give the gem back, and he isn't just a criminal. He entertains people, and people are happy. At least that you should see. And he never harmed anyone with what he has done.~"

Aoko huffed and glared, and he knew she was one of her bad moods again. Of course, the reason was Kaito Kid. And of course, she would look angrier.

"Sure, but he is a criminal who just steals and puts up a magic show. Not really something special. People can see these things at a cafe. I hate how he takes my father's time away, and I just am done with that thief. I hate, no I despise him."

That gave him the rest as he let out a sigh. He wasn't going to argue with her, and what he didn't have realized was that a particular blond came downstairs just in time to hear the last part. He walked over to Kaito and saw that he was still putting the facade on.

"Alright, that is enough Aoko. I don't want to hear any more harmful things about the thief. He has his reason's and just because you don't know the reason doesn't mean that you can say things like that. I want you to be out of his house, you did after all not even bother to knock."

Aoko wanted to argue but stopped when he saw the glare she received. She walked out and as soon as the door was closed and she was out of sight, he was pulled into a hug. His facade chattered as he hugged back.

"You know...she hates me....she doesn't like me...she thinks I am just a criminal...she thinks I am just someone bad...am I really that bad Saguru? Is too much to ask to have it stop? Is it that much too ask to stop the pain? Each word felt like she stabbed me with a knife."

His voice was more and more broken and in the end, he began to broke down in tears. It was hurting him so much. The others hug tightens now and for once in a while, he didn't have the want to kill himself, he didn't even consider self-harm.

"Shh, I know and I am sure she didn't know that this is you. She misunderstands you as Kaito Kid. I am sure that she doesn't hate you. But it doesn't give her the right talking about Kaito Kid like this. She just doesn't know and when she still doesn't accept you afterward you still have me and Kudo."

His voice was soft and had so much understanding it, but there was as well an upsetting undertone. It meant so much to him that he talked like this to him. It meant the world to him. He felt finally not alone, finally someone who wasn't pushing him. Soon his crying stopped and he felt a bit better. The hug continued a few more minutes until it was left. Now that he thought about it he saw the other in school uniform.

"So we are going to school?"

The other gave a hum as he made his way over to the kitchen and beginning to open the fridge.

"Yup, but first we need to eat something and I am making us some Bentos. Anything you don't like other then you know what?"

That was making him shrug as he like almost everything other then you know what. He was glad that the other didn't say the name of it.

"I called the teacher and telling them that we are coming a bit later as we both got sick yesterday and overslept because of this."

The brit was grinning at him and he blinked and had a small smile on his lips.

"Alright, I am going for a shower then. See you in a bit."

With this, he walked upstairs taking his school uniform and going showering. It took him 10 minutes and he was dressed. As he came down he saw some toast, eggs, and bacon on the plate and two bento boxes right next to the plates. Not to mention that there was as well two cups.

"Let's eat, shall we? Oh and Kudo called he will come and pick us up after school. He told us that there is a cafe which had some really good chocolate cake."

That was making his eyes lit up slightly, Hakuba chuckled a bit as seeing his antics as well relieve flashed through the latter eyes. As he sat down, both said their 'itadakimasu,' and beginning to eat in silence. As he picked up the cup he saw that it was milk chocolate with some marshmallows. That was making his eyes lit up more.

"Thank you Saguru."

His voice soft and there was appreciation in it. Kaito was glad that he had trusted them about how he really was feeling. It made him feel so much better. Kaito was more emotional right now and he felt like crying again, but not because of pain but because of pure happiness.

"No problem, I know how much you like chocolate and I guessed that it would help to lift your spirit up."

It made him smile brightly at the other, and the blond spluttered slightly as he was surprised getting a smile like this. He needed to tell the other two something else.

He did love pranking others, but that was just because they would give him some kind of reaction. It was the only thing that helped him to feel a bit of joy. After his mother died, he couldn't feel any joy anymore in pranking that was why he stopped. He could feel the nervousness coming from everyone and some were worried as well. Now thinking back on it made him snort.

---

Aoko doesn't know better and this is not an Aoko bashing story. She doesn't know he is Kaito Kid and doesn't know that she is hurting him badly with these words. I hope you enjoyed it and I see you guys in the next chapter.~
