Chapter 17

Right now it was evening. Shinichi and Saguru leaned on the wall right next to each other. Saguru was worried as he heard that a particular someone who he didn't want to mentioned joined as well. A sigh escaped and wasn't in the mood for that male. 

"You doing alright?"

He gave a small nod, but it was just for himself to assure him, that everything was alright. He just couldn't stop thinking about that nightmare and he just hoped that it would turn out fine. With this, the time finally came and the heist started...

Time skip, because I am lazy XD Oh and it is full moon just thought I mention this.

Kid escaped with the gem and he was happy about it. Or he should be, but this was pandora and he knew as he has seen the stone change into red. He was not too far away, but he had to change his route as he felt eyes watching him. Kaito wasn't sure how they found him, as he had changed long ago.  Eyes which told him it wouldn't be good. Hakuba decided to give him a bracelet, why he wasn't sure but he guessed it was just to make him feel better. 

The eyes still were on him and he got creeped out. These eyes seemed to bore into him, and not in a good way. He slid the moonstone in the pockets of Hakuba, after all, it was the best hiding place. Not to mention he finally found that gem. It was pandora and he made sure that he made it in a subtle way so that no one noticed.

"Kaito, where are you?"

He had his earpiece in which was connected with Shinichi. It was decided that they would stay in contact just to be sure that he plan worked out. 

"I am on my way, but I feel some eyes on me. Shinichi and aka was seen."

His voice was hushed so that just the other male on the line could hear him. The other male on the line hadn't said anything until he could hear a loud.

"Wait, you- what!?"

That made him snort. He was so relieved that he finally has found that damn thing.

"It is with someone. I won't say who but when the person comes to you, tell the person to be careful."

The other reply was instant.

"I can guess who. And do you think you can get rid of the person who watches you?"

That was a question he wasn't sure and he was wondering how they could manage to watch him.

"No, I can't. I am close, but I can't just come to you. So what now?"

The person on the other side hummed and soon a few curses escaped out of his mouth.

"I am coming with my father. Continue walking, I know where you are, and try not to show that you know that you're being watched you hear?"

Kaito let out a sigh. Of course, he wouldn't show that he knew that he was being watched.

"Don't worry, oh and, please hurry."

With this the line was cold and he let out another sigh. He still had his poker face and he was sure that he would fight with everything he had. He felt footsteps right behind him, they almost were silent, but he still heard them. He felt the footsteps almost behind him that was why he just in time dodged. The person stumbled a bit and his posture changed on being on guard. 

The male had cold eyes, wearing all in black and was the snake. Great, just great. And he felt a sudden stinging pain on his left arm. As he looked at it he saw it was a dart syringe. He grits his teeth as he knew what that was and it was not something good. He decided to run away, as no way in hell would he let them catch him. But soon he felt his body numb down and he fell down on the ground with a thud. The syringe was left behind, and he felt himself being picked up soon.

'Shit, that isn't good....'

That was his last thought until he blacked out...

Shinichi was looking closely at his phone and soon a few colorful words escaped which made his father look at him perplexed and raising one of his eyebrows in a questioning manner.

"Kaito moves too fast, most likely he got caught by whoever that was and getting himself kidnapped."

That made the male turn serious as he waited for Shinichi to tell him the direction. Which was said instantly of course after all this had to do with Kaito?

"We need the police help, this is too big for him and we need to act quick."

That Hakuba had the idea to put a tracker on that bracelet was a good thing. Not to mention his clothes as well. He felt bad not telling the other, but it was just a precaution. Grimacing at the thought of Kaito being angry at him, would not bode well with him. Not just physically and mentally, who knows what the latter would come up. Soon they ended up at an abandoned place, a perfect place for a hiding spot.

His sapphire eyes sharpened as looking around and he saw that there was a car. Too suspicious for him. Why would there be a car, and from the looks of it, Kaito was there. Without his knowledge as he was too much in his thoughts, he hadn't realized that his father was calling someone.

'Please, hold on Kaito. Let's hope that we aren't too late. I don't want to see him more broken...'

A shudder made its way over his body as he knew too well how ruthless these people are.

"Shinichi, the police is on its way. They told us to wait here, and you listen for once to me. I know you don't want to wait, but it is too dangerous to go alone. And we have no idea how big that is."

He gave a grumble which could indicate as a yes. Dammit, he didn't want to wait. He took his phone and soon a buzzing sound came which made him startled a bit.

Shinichi, why the freak do I have the gem with me? What the hell did that moron think when giving me this? I can't and tell me why do I have the feeling something did happen to that aho?

That made him snort as seeing what the other wrote. He didn't expect the other to curse, as he seemed more of the polite type. But it seemed that Kaito really makes others bring a different side out.

I would love to tell you this, but I am right now not really the right person and that moron got himself into trouble. Just come to the address I send you and be careful. Don't bring that thing with you hide it. Where no one can know where it is.

The reply came instantly and he let out a sigh.

At first, I wanted to make him a Neko Kaito, but decided against it and decided to let himself get kidnapped again. In the next chappy, there will be some mentioning of torture. I was sick and couldn't concentrate on writing.
