"Hey Leah can you open up ice rink 6 for the Dallas Stars?" Uncle Marty asked.
"Ya. Are they here?" I asked.
"Yes there just waiting near the entrance to be let in," Uncle Marty said.
"Ok. I'll go do that now," I said.
I was walking to the entrance for ice rink 6 when I ran into Jarron and Jarrod fighting about who I'm gonna pick for Captain of the team I got into the middle when I saw a fist flying. I got punched in the face trying to get them to stop fighting.
"Sorry Leah. Have you picked who is gonna be captain yet?" they asked.
"Yes I have," I said.
"Will you tell us who it is," Jarrod asked.
"You'll know later on when I tell the whole team," I said. I walked off and they went back to arguing. I walked over to ice rink 6's door and opened it for the Stars then I went in and opened the locker room doors for them. They questioned why I had a black eye so I told them. I went back to the front and found some people asking my uncle questions in a different language and he had no idea what they were saying. I started to speak German behind my uncle and answered all their questions.
"You know how to speak German?" my uncle asked.
"Ya and you don't?" I asked. Later that evening I told them that Jarrod was the new captain and then I left. I was leaving tomorrow to go practice with the Dallas Stars and we had to be here at 5:30 in the morning.
Jamie stopped me and asked, "Would you like to do something with me later?"
"I'd love too," I said.
"You think your uncle would let us stay a little later than closing time?" Jamie asked.
"We could ask," I said. We walked over to my uncle and the same people were talking to him again; like I did before I walked up and answered all their questions for him.
"Leah, what would I do with out you?" Marty asked.
"I don't know. I have a question though," I said.
"What?" Marty asked.
"Can me and Jamie stay after closing time?" I asked.
"Why?" Marty asked.
"I finally got the courage to ask Leah out and I was thinking we could stay after just a little and have that first date," Jamie said.
"Yes. You can stay after until I leave which will be about 9:30 pm," Marty said.
"Thanks Uncle Marty," I said.
"Anything for you Leah," Marty said.
"Jamie, y'all don't stay out too late okay," Lindy said.
