Chapter TwentyLienna
I chased after Frigga madly. For an older woman, she was incredibly quick on her feet. I followed her all the way to the throne room, and when we finally reached our destination, my lungs were on fire.
Before I could ask what we were doing here, Frigga yanked open the doors and pulled me in.
"I told you I'd have her ready!" Frigga crooned triumphantly to Odin, who sat in his throne.
He nodded with a smile. "Now, if you could get our sons with the same speed, love."
Frigga gave a smirk amazingly similar to Loki's before she dashed off to retrieve the two princes.
I stood awkwardly before Odin.
"It's nice to see you again, Lienna," Odin stated after a few long, uncomfortable moments.
I nearly told him off for locking me away but I held my tongue and simply responded, "It's great to be back."
Just then, Frigga reappeared with a good-looking Loki and the emotional wreck that was Thor. I supposed losing Wisteria took a major toll on him, and I wanted to rush over and hug him.
Loki and I made eye contact, then we both looked at our feet. Neither of us seemed to know why Odin had separated the two of us. Maybe now we would find out.
Frigga took her place between the princes and I, smiling triumphantly up at Odin.
"Now, you are probably wondering why I've kept Lienna away and then suddenly gathered the three of you here."
I nodded.
"The answer is not quite as simple as I had hoped, but I shall explain in due time. First, I believe some of you have reacquainting to do, and I shall allow it in my presence just this once." Odin then nodded at us.
Loki was in front of me quicker then I could react. He wrapped me in a warm embrace, which I returned, grateful to feel him around me again. Loki's lips met mine for a moment. Then we separated, and Loki took my hand.
Odin coughed. "Now, as I was explaining, the incident with Wisteria and Lienna's former fiancé cannot go unpunished. Frigga and I decided it would be best to have Lienna choose the punishment they will both receive." Odin looked down at me. "However, current matters prevent us from doing so immediately."
I nodded in response, squeezing Loki's hand.
"Thor!" Odin continued, "Since Wisteria is no longer worthy of your courtship, I have decided to put a halt on your courting until we have counselled privately."
Thor looked at his feet. "Yes Father." I sincerely prayed that whatever Odin had in mind this time was a good solution, or, at least for the time being, a realistic solution.
Odin nodded, seemingly pleased with the conversation. "That is all, for now. You are excused."
All three of us younger members bowed our heads, then Loki led me away running, nearly flying. I braced myself for what was to come, whether it was happy or sad, and both were equally terrifying.
