I woke up from out of bed leaving Bastet to sleep peacefully. I walked right in the kitchen seeing how dark it is. I started breathing heavily remembering the time when Dave sold me to Biggy. 'Why I'm even here? I should take Bastet and leave' I walk back to the room turning the lights on. I grab my phone dialing my mother number. I started pacing back and forth waiting for her to answer. "Pick up damnit"I gritted my teeth.
"Yess daughter"
"Where are you?"
"Me and Dave are going to a party. We just pulled up"
"Mom, we didn't come to New York to party. We had a mission"
"I know Noelani damn. Dave said there's food in the fridge. Bye I have to go" she hung up in my face. I just wanted to slam my phone on the ground and scream. But I couldn't. Not with Bastet in the room.
I walked back to the room closing the door. I settled back on the bed covering up while looking out the window. All I kept thinking about was why dave took my mother? where they going? what's going on?
Time passed by quick. It was now 11:34 midnight. Bastet was still peacefully sleep next to me. But something woke her up. I jumped up from my bed as fast I can grabbing both my revolvers from off the dresser. I open the door so I can listen and see if that's dave and my mother. But I didn't hear anything but footsteps. Heavy boots. He or she was making their way towards my room.
"Who's in there?!"the man yelled.
"Fucking baby in the room dawg. I don't think we should do this"another man spoke out.
"Shut yo punk ass up! If we don't kill dave now, peaches gone kill our asses"the first man said. I hid behind the door as the first man took a step in turning the lights on. "Aye yo, why the fuck he left his baby home alone"
"He didn't"I pointed the gun behind his head. I had the other gun pointed at the other man forehead.
"Woahhh. Take it easy momma bear"the second man said. He gulp down his salvia once he saw who I was. "Yo, we deep trouble bruh"
"What you mean?"the first man ask. "Who this bitch?!"
"Don't scream. You already woke up me and my baby. Plus your scaring her"I spoke.
"It's Noelani right? The girl who killed Derrick and Biggy"the second man said.
"Correction, I'm a woman. Not a girl"I smiled at him. "Now, tell me why Ashlee wants to kill Dave. My baby daddy"
"S-She wants New York and New Jersey for herself"the first man said.
"Well you tell Ashlee this. If she wants New York and New Jersey for herself, she gone have to talk to me first"I said. "Now go to her"
"You not gone kill us?"the first man ask.
"Nah, I promise my mother not to kill in front my precious baby girl. So go now, she'll deal with y'all later"I said. The first man made his way out the room. I still had my guns pointed at them while walking to the front door. "How the hell y'all get in?"
"Picked the lock"the second man said. I rolled my eyes shaking my head.
"Go home please. Before I really kill y'all" I pushed them out the house slamming the door.
