Today was a slow day. It felt like the city was quiet today which is weird. At first I was staying at my penthouse waiting on Taylor to come through but she never did. So I took off this morning back to my secretive house across town. The house was quiet once I walked in. But then Nadine woke up first to make breakfast for us.
"Did you tell her about the date?"Nadine ask me as I was looking at my phone then back at the tv. I sigh heavily rubbing my head.
"Nah Nadine. Not yet"I rolled up my weed.
"You serious. You not even trying!"she semi yelled. "Dave I told you what I want for my grandchild. She needs a father figure"
"How can I be there for her if Noelani don't want me to?"I got up from my seat walking to the patio back door. Nadine followed me closing the door. "The other day we talked about it and we cried for a bit. And then yesterday she met Taylor....."
"Taylor. Your girlfriend?"Nadine narrowed her eyebrows. "Yeah, wrong move"
"What?! She dropped Bastet off to me and then took off somewhere"—"Taylor arrived, saw the Bastet and starting asking questions and that's when Noelani walked in on us"
"And that's how Noelani met Taylor the girlfriend. Welll then"Nadine chuckle.
"Noelani was gone kill her but not in front of Bastet"I said. That would of been a scary sight to see.
"I told Noelani to not kill anyone in front of Bastet or near her. She did it before"Nadine spoke. "And she bury them on my property"
"That's not good"I shook my head.
"What's not good?"Noelani came in the living room holding Bastet. "Y'all in here talking about me behind my back?"
"Noe...."
"Yeah we are. What you gone do about it?"I looked at her.
"Maybe me and my baby should just leave"she said. She turn her attention to Nadine. "You can keep dick riding Dave if you want"
"Dick rid...."I stop Nadine from saying anything bad about her daughter.
"Really Noelani. Your mother dick riding me"I raised my eyebrows. "Last time I checked, you was the one dick riding me like a cowgirl"
"Fuck you Dave!"she yelled causing Bastet to cry.
"Gimme my baby, she need someone else who is calm to hold her"I said. Noelani sigh a bit then handed me Bastet who looked up at me. "Hey baby girl"I cooed at her.
"Okay so, we been here for a few days with no leads. What's going on Dave?"Noelani ask.
"I don't know where Ashlee hides. Once I know where she is, I'll tell you"I said.
"Mom lets just call Timon and maybe Timon can find her"Noelani spoke.
"That can be a great idea Dave. Timon can help us out"Nadine said.
"Sure. Can call ti....."just then Taylor bust in the door causing Nadine and Noelani pulling out their guns on her. "Y'all put the guns away"
"Dave"Taylor cried. She came up to me hugging me as I still hold onto Bastet. "She's dead Dave"
"Who?"I mumble.
"My mother. Some bitch killed her"Me and Nadine looked at each other. Noelani shook her head then sigh.
