Night falls so quickly and the house was quiet. Nadine and Noelani was both sleep. I kept trying to make my way to noelani room to see my baby but she locked the door. All of this and for what? If she didn't want me to see my child, she could stayed her ass home. It was 6:48 PM. Taylor called me 3 times but I never picked up. I don't have time seeing her mother and people. Too early.
"I thought you was gone"I heard Nadine coming into the kitchen. "Want coffee? Or tea?"she ask.
"Nah I'm good"I mumble.
"You don't seem like it. What's wrong?"Nadine sat next to me.
"I thought by noelani coming back to New York with the baby would be the best thing ever but she don't want me near my own child"I shook my head.
"Noelani is......"Nadine sigh heavily. "She's just like me"
"What you mean?"I turn to her.
"When I was noelani age, I use to always held her. Never let her go"she smiled. "I use to think that once I let her go somebody was gone take her away from me"
"Why you think that?"
"Cause we was living with Derrick. Derrick had so many warrants at that time I still don't know how the cops got off him so easily. I had one warrant but it wasn't that bad"-"I always thought that child protective services would come and take her away from me and they did"a tear escaped from her eye.
"Yeah but I'm not child protective services. I'm the father, I helped out too"I said frustrated.
"Welllll dave. You need to man up against her. Noelani hard to break"Nadine walked back to the kitchen. "Maybe you should plan a family day out with noelani and Bastet"
Bastet? "Bast what?"I know damn well noelani didn't name my child after a damn fish. I got up from the couch and walk to the kitchen.
"You don't know her name?"Nadine narrowed her eyebrows. "Noelani wrong for that"

My phone started ringing again. I look down at the phone seeing Taylor Pic. "Shit"I walked to the patio to answer it.

"Where the hell are you? I called you 3 times dave"
"I picked up my aunt from the airport. We went out to eat and went home. Now I'm up"
"Mhmmm, well hurry up to the house okay baby"
"Fine"I hung up the phone sighing heavily.
"New girlfriend I see"Nadine chuckle.
"I need a favor Nadine"
"What's the favor?"Nadine crossed her arms.
"I need you to play as my aunt. I uhhh, lied to my girl and said that my aunt is in town and she really don't know my aunt soooooo..."
"You want me to play as aunt Nadine? Fine I'll do it"

"Only one condition"—"You have to talk to noelani. Tomorrow I want you and Noelani to take Bastet to the park, somewhere so y'all can talk"
