"They left?"Taylor ask while watching tv on the couch. I was standing near the window watching people past by while talking on the phone or walking their dog.
"Yeah they left"I walked back over to the couch. I sat down next to Taylor wrapping my arms around her. "I have a question"
She chuckled. "Ask away"she stared at my watch then started playing with it.
"You think we'll be together for 5 years or more?"I ask. She look up at me with a blank face. "You know, I kind of dig you and I have feelings for you. Like we been together for 2 months and I believe we might be together even longer"
"Dave"she smiled extra hard. "I love you like on some real shit I do"—"If we stay together, you have to control your baby momma"
"I already talked to her. She getting use to you..."
Taylor cut me off. "I know she is but..."she stop for a minute then gulp down her saliva. "I'm scared of her. The story you said about her chopping some bitch head off, I know it's true. Every killing that happened a year or 2 ago, that was her"
"Wait. You scared of Noelani"I bust out laughing shaking my head. "Don't be. She acts like that cause maybe she's scared of people and gets away with shit"I shook my head.
Taylor folded her arms together. "Dave, she was calm as fuck when me and you came in the house...."
"No she wasn't. Noelani yelled at me for taking Bastet to the park with you"—"she feels like you the key to everything and that your the bad guy"
"Of course. Just cause my father knows so many people"Taylor rolled her eyes. "Ima go and check on Bastet"
"Nah ima do it"I hop up from the couch walking to Bastet and Noelani room. Bastet was fast asleep. I rubbed her curly hair and smiled thanking god that my babygirl came out healthy, strong, and beautiful. But I still can't get out of my head why Noelani kept her away from me.
"Hey, I'm going get some Chinese food. Want something other then that?"Taylor whispered.
"Extra wings"I whispered with a smile. She smiled back and walked away from the room. Once I heard the door close, I started snooping around the room. "I know mommy hiding something"
I looked through her suitcase just seeing clothes for Noelani and clothes for Bastet. But nothing interesting.
