My last day in Queens New York, I'd be heading to LaGuardia airport here in Queens. I'd be leaving at 4:30pm since my plane takes off at 6:30pm. I didn't wanna be late and miss it so I thought going early would be my best bet. Today I had breakfast planned with my parents, and they would come back to my place while the company came for my luggage. My luggage would be taken by some of the businesses helpers since it was a lot. After they came I would go to my parents house and wait until it was time to go.

"Will that be all for you today?" The waiter asked us

"Yes" I told him as he took our menus and told us he would be back with our order

"Thank you!" I told him as he walked away

"See, you need a man like that" my mom told me

"Ain't you say you want me to be with a man who stable?" I told her

"Yes, and?" She said

"Mom... he's a waiter, I'm a lawyer, how he gonna support me?" I told her

"On top of that I came to enjoy my last day with you, not argue about my love life" I added on

"Honey can we just leave her alone about this love thing, she doesn't need a man, she's doing great on her own right now" my dad budged in

"Thank you dad" I said snapping my head back at my mom

"And also, stop using words like 'ain't' and incomplete sentences, you are a professional lawyer and shouldn't be using words like that" my mom told me as I rolled my eyes in defeat.

Every time we went out there was something new for her to nag about. I couldn't even talk the way I wanted around her. In a way I was glad I'd be moving but sad at the same time, I was getting more personal space but also distance from my parents.

"Here is your three plates" the waiter placed them down in front of each of us

"Thank you very much" I told him

"No problem, I hope to see you around more" he said giving me a soft smile and keeping his eyes on me

"No can do, I'm moving to California today" I told him

"But she can FaceTime you" my mom budged in

"Mom" I simply said

"It's alright I'll leave you guys to it" he said and I thanked him as he walked away

"Embarrassing" I simply said before diving into my breakfast.

Shortly after we got a text saying the business helper was on his way and we headed back to my place, signed a couple of papers about if they lost it there's nothing that can be done and all that. We went back to my parents' and stayed there for about 2 hours before we drove off to the airport.

"You got your ticket baby?" My mom asked

"Yes mom" I said

"I'm gonna miss you so much" she said crying into my shoulder as I joined her and my dad did as well.

We shared our goodbyes and I informed them I'd be back if I got break for Christmas and I was off. I checked into my flight and since I had no luggage I simply went straight to the waiting section. I scanned around the room and the seats were full, maybe so many people traveling since kids were finally on thanksgiving break. Although I did see one seat, it was next to this girl who was about a tan skin tone. She looked about 5'3 and she had some nice nails done. She noticed me staring and smiled as I blushed and let back a smile.

"If you're looking for somewhere to sit there's a seat right here" she said pointing to the open seat next to her

I walked over and sat down.

"Thank you" I simply said

"No problem" she said back

"Out for thanksgiving vacation?" I asked her

"Nah, I'm moving for my new job" she said

"Oh no way, me too!" I said excited but then realizing she was just some stranger I met and would probably never see her again.

"What a coincidence" she giggled

"I'm Onika by the way" I told her

"Nice to meet you Onika, I'm Belcalis, but in the hood they call me Bacardi, or Cardi B" she told me

"Well in that case, you can call me Nicki, Nicki Minaj" I told her

"That got a nice ring to it, I'll definitely remember that one" she said

"What hood you from?" I asked her

"Bronx baby, born and raised, you?" She asked me

"Queens" I simply said

"Oh so you live close to here then" she said

"Yeah I do" I answered

"What part you moving to?" She asked me

"Los Angeles" I told her

"Girl you sure you ain't following me?" She giggled

"You are too?" I asked her

"Yes ma'am" she said

"That's crazy, only thing I don't like is that I don't know anyone there and even worse never been there in my life" I told her

"Same here, a whole scary experience" she said

"Hey, maybe we can meet up over there, get to know the City together" she said And I looked into her eyes and blushed

"That would be amazing" I said

"That's a bet" she said smiling back

I took my phone out and had her put in her number. And texted her so she could have mine registered.

"So what job do you do" I continued the convo after we exchanged numbers

"Umm well I just left my job here in the Bronx and am doing some clothes design shit in Cali" she told me

"What job did you leave?" I asked her

"Ummm, it was a well payed job that I didn't want to be doing for long so I took this as an opportunity" she told me hesitant on her words.

Needless to say, we talked until the plane was called to board and we had different seats. Our plane ended up leaving at 7:00pm which meant we'd arrive at 12:00am. A long flight.
