Holiday Shopping

"Goodmorning" I said pecking her lips

"Huh" she said rubbing her eyes as she woke up

"I said goodmorning" I repeated myself

"Shit someone's up early" she told me

"Yeah I wanted to tell you that ima head out if you wanna come" I told her

"Where to?" She asked me

"Well since we going before Christmas ima buy some gifts for my parents here cause you know New York be packed during these times" I told her

"Oh shit I totally forgot we leave tomorrow" she said

"Yeah" I said chuckling

"So you coming" I reminded her

"Yeah, let me shower" she told me

"No I was about to go in first" I told her

"Shut up" she said grabbing my hand and leading me to the restroom.

We showered together, it was weird. I loved her and all but it felt awkward being with her when we weren't even together, I felt like I was being played in a way. But I gave it time, I knew eventually things would work out, after all she wasn't seen anyone, and neither was I. I had nothing to worry about.

Once we got out the shower, we both got dressed and were ready to head out.

"You driving" she told me

"I swear you need to get your damn license already" I told her

"I'm chillin" she said as I rolled my eyes and hopped in the car.

We buckled up and I drove to the mall. Once we were there, we got out the car and headed inside.

We walked around and went into a few stores gathering things to gift our families. The mall was crowded, but it was nothing new, I mean it's LA.

"Who's gift are you looking for there?" I asked her noticing she was looking through the shoe isle

"Huh? Oh, no one, I'm just looking at the heels they have here, they mad bute" she said picking up a pair

"Actually maybe I'll gift it to one of my friends" she said opening the box to make sure it was the right pair

"You sure you don't wanna see your friends?" She asked me

"Why you ask that, you tryna get rid of me?" I asked her

"No, cause who knows the next time we gonna see em again, and even tho they mad at you for leaving they'd be even more upset if they knew you went and didn't stop by" she told me

"I hate it when you're right" I simply said

"You can use one of the cars we got there if ya want" she suggested

"I'll think about it" I told her

"Well you better think fast, we going tomorrow" she reminded me

"Oh shit you're right" I said

"Duh" she responded

I rolled my eyes and let out a laugh as I continued to look through the perfumes. I didn't really know what to get my parents, I mean what do people their age even enjoy? I'd love to receive some alcohol or some shit but I don't think they get down like that.

"Where ya going?" I asked Cardi as she started to walk away

"To pay for this stuff" she said walking away

I gathered the last of the stuff I decided to get for my parents, friends, and Cardi's family and headed to the line. I tried to look for Cardi to cut the line since there were so many people but I didn't see her..

I was finally in the front of the line next to pay and still no sign of-

"Oh damn your line went slow" she said popping up from the isle next to me

"Where were you?" I asked her

"Some stuff caught my eye and I went over to look and saw that the cash register over there has less people in line so I just payed over there" she said

"What stuff?" I asked her raising my brow

"Just some clothes, but it's gonna be cold over there so I didn't even bother" she told me

"Next" the lady called out as I pushed my cart over

"Goodmorning" she said

"Goodmorning, lots of people doin bff Christmas shopping?" I asked her

"Yeah, it's only going to get worse from here, people love doing last minute shopping" she said

"It gets more packed than this?" I asked her

"You wouldn't believe! The lines literally stretch out the store" she said

"Shit- my bad, that's crazy!!" I I told her

"Yeah, you know you're the first person to have a convo with me, I swear I need to have more customers like you, I get bored here just scanning" she said

"Awe thank you" I said smiling

"Wow you have such a beautiful smile" she said while she stopped scanning to admire it

"Thank you so much!!" I said

"I've never seen someone who has dimples like yours" she told me

"Awe thank you, I get that a lot" I told her

"Let me get those bags for you babe" Cardi said approaching us and I mentally rolled my eyes

"Is this your...?" The cashier said waiting for me to answer and I looked at Cardi As she gave me a 'you better go with it' look

"Yes, this is my girlfriend" I said

"Oh I'm sorry" she said

"Huh?" I said turning my head towards her

"Nevermind" she said blushing

"Your total will be $146" she said

I inserted my card and put my pin. She handed me my receipt and smiled.

"Have a nice day..." she said trying to figure out what my name was

"Onika" I said

"Alison" she responded

I gave her a warm smile as I felt Cardi tug on my arm.

"You're too much" I said as we walked away

"I don't wanna hear it" she said walking out the store

"You wanna go to any other store?" She asked me

"No, I think I got all I need" I said

We headed out the mall and once we reached the car we out all the bags in the trunk and headed back home.

"Alison" Cardi simply said as we drove off

"Shut up" I said laughing

It was so amusing to me how jealous she would get, if was kinda cute.
