Part 37 (Memories)

Blake's P.O.V.

After a couple of hours we go back to her house. We got everything off our chests but I don't know if we're back together officially yet. I'm always so worried about her, even when I was a dick and left her I wondered how she was doing...

I wanted to find her and apologize for what I did, but I never knew how. How do you apologize for being the biggest asshole in history?

Either way, everything worked out in the end... I hope. I don't want her to feel insecure about our relationship, even if she ends up breaking up with me we'll have to see each other for the rest of our lives and you can bet I'll try every day to win her back.

I sat next to her in her bed as she took another nap. She was weak and needed to regain her strength. Her mother looked after Asher for the rest of the day so I could look after her. Last time I remember her being like this was when I was starting college, where we both had the flu.

*Flashback:

I took the day off college since both Gaia and I weren't feeling so good. My parents were working and Taylor was in classes so we had the house to ourselves. Not the we were in the mood for anything, we were just laying in bed, her hand on my chest and my arm around her, feeling sick...

At first I thought she was pregnant... again, but it turns out she has the flu and I had food poisoning.

"You feel any better?" she asks me.

"No" I groan.

"I told you not eat sushi"

"But I like sushi... Do you feel better?"

"A little I guess"

"This is stupid... You're the one with a flu, I should be taking care of you and here you are taking care of me"

"Men are babies, they whine about everything... I can't imagine one getting a period" I laugh and kiss the top of her head.

"I gotta pee" I stand from the bed and jog a bit to the bathroom. Without noticing a small puddle of water on the floor at the end of th bed, I slip to the side.

"Ow fuck!" I groan once again.

"Did you just fall?" she asks laughing.

"No I just wanted to take a look at the floor"

"Jerk" she says still laughing. I grab her leg to pull her down and she falls to the ground.

"Ow, Blake my butt!" she whines.

"Oh, you okay? I'm sorry... you want me to rub it to make it better?"

"Shut up" she pulls away my arm, smiling... "Do you really mean it?" she turns serious.

"Mean what?"

"Us? Getting married in the future?"

"Of course I am... For better or worse, we're already doing the sickness part so..." we chuckle.

"And you'll never leave me for anyone?"

"Never" I get close to her and put y hand on her neck "You're the one, forever" we smile and seal the conversation with a kiss...

*Present:

Gaia's P.O.V.

I wake to a freaking creeper looking down at me smiling.

"What the hell are you doing?" I ask.

"Taking care of you"

"You look like a creepy stalker" I whine and he chuckles.

"What?"

"I knew you were gonna say that" I let out at smirk, trying to hide it, I pull up the covers to hide my face and then I feel him pulling the down slowly...

"Don't hide"

"Where's Asher?"

"With your mom"

"Can you go get him?"

"He's in good hands... We need to talk about us, about what happened in the hospital"

"I'm gonna eat"

"I know you're gonna eat, I meant the other thing... your little break down?"
I exhale deeply as I look down

"What about it?"

"Babe we can't keep going like this. It's killing both of us. What do I have to do to make this work?"

"You don't have to do anything"

He looked down to the floor pressing with his fingers his eyes and taking deep breaths before speaking... I knew him to well to know what he was about to say was gonna hurt him....

"I love you" he looks up at me with watery eyes and his nose turning pinkish "I'll give you the space you need... I'll let you go if that's what you want but... I guess I'll never really let you go because in the back of my mind I still believe that someday, we'll get our second chance.... or third I guess" he looked back down.

He had me crying, tears like waterfalls... but I didn't say anything. Taking that as an answer he stands up and starts walking towards the door.

"Wait....."
