Part 51 (Don't Want To Get Hurt)

Gaia's P.O.V.

I hurt Blake real bad last night by telling him we shouldn't get married yet, but it wasn't as much as he hurt me by kissing that stupid blonde! I love, I don't have a doubt about it, so why am I so scared to marry the love of my life?

"Hey, mija" my mom says as I slowly sit on the kitchen stool

"Morning mom"

"How's the little princess doing?"

"Great, I got lucky... she's a sleeper" I chuckle.

"Yeah, you were the same..... Hey Blake!" My mom says but he ignores and leaves, I didn't even bother to turn around and look at him. I was both hurt and sad about last night's conversarion. "Well that was rude, are you guys ok?"

"He's just probably late for practice" I lie.

"Mhmm... What happened? Does it have to do with the people he brought last night?"

"Remember the dream I told you about? The woman?"

"Yes"

"She was here last night... And she kissed Blake"

"Jesus! And what did he do?" She asks angry.

"He kissed her back" I give a weak smile.

"What?!! Oh you just wait till I talk to him"

"No mom, this is our problem"

"Who does he think he is?!! You almost died giving birth to his child and he has de decency to kiss a woman he doesn't even know?!!... I suppose you'll give him some sort of punishment..."

"I think I already did..." I cover my face with my hands and sigh.

"How?"

"I told him we should postpone the wedding... again"

"So that's why he's so upset" she exhales...

"What?" I ask

"I don't condone what he did, but I understand what he feels... Honey he's been wanting to marry since he got you back and that was almost 4 years ago"

"I know"

"Is there a reason why you don't want to marry him?"

"No, I guess I'm just scared... Scared that he'll leave me and the kids for some other chick. Scared that he won't come home until late and not care for us..."

"Oh honey... If those things were to happen, they'll happen whether you're married or not. Just give it a chance... I really think your love will blossom if you marry each other... but not now... You guys need to deal with what he did first"

"Yeah I know... I'm gonna have a little talk with this Sarah first. He has a game tonight and I'm guessing she'll be there."

"I'll look after the kids, please, no fighting"

"I know better than that mom"

**Game time:

I was at the Staple Center keeping an eye out for Sarah and tell her to back off Blake. I arrived almost at the end of it, Blake didn't know I was gonna be here.. When I arrive I see her on the tunnel entrance cheering...

"Hi! Sarah right?" I have to yell due to the yelling and cheering from everyone else.

"Oh yeah, it's Gia right?"

"You know what my name is" I cross my arms and get closer to her. "I know what you're up to... Stay away from Blake"

"Excuse you?"

"You heard me. We have a family and we plan to get married soon and believe me when I say nothing and no one is going to ruin it. I can be a real bitch when provoked."

"What makes you think he's gonna stay away from me?"

"Oh, he will... We've known each other since high school and like I said, we have a family together... besides, he's really not into gold digging sluts"

"You sure about that? Cause he didn't seem to mind when I raised his dick in your house" she smirks.

"Yeah, I'm sure that if I touched your cousin's dick it'll have the same effect... in the end he rejected you so, that must've stung."

"It's okay, he was just nervous... I'm sure it won't happen next time"

The buzzer goes off "Stay away from him" I warn one last time. I wait for Blake to finish with his post game interview to surprise him...

"Hey" I say as I walk behind him and he turns around.

"What are you doing here?" he asks a bit annoyed.

"Mom offered to watch over the kids so we could go out"

"Well, I'm tired so"

"You're never tired after a game"

"Well I am today" he starts to walk away.

"I know you're mad at me." he stops. "But I get to be mad too"

"I said I was sorry"

"You kissed her!" my eyes flood with water.

"Come on don't cry here, they see you crying I'll be the bad guy... How'd you get here?"

"I took a cab"

"Forcing me to take you home, nice move" he was still annoyed and starts walking away again.

"I want to marry you" I almost blurt out, making him stop once again.

"No you don't"

"I'm not afraid anymore..."

"What are you afraid of?

"Getting hurt... But my mom's right. If I am gonna get hurt it doesn't matter whether I'm married to you or not... the pain's gonna be the same"

"I am not going to hurt you" I walks towards me and cup my face.

"You already did" I whisper. "How would you feel if I kissed another man?"

"Heartbroken" he answers. "I am sorry, I hate hurting you"

"I know you don't mean to hurt me--"

"Hey man, that Sarah chick is looking for you" DJ walks past us. I rest my forehead on his chest and wrap my arms arond him, not believing she was still around here.

"Come on let's go home" he puts his arm around my waist and leads me to the car.

The whole car ride back home was quite. We held hands but we didn't say much until he breaks the silence.

"Babe I don't want you to marry me if you don't want to"

"I want to... you're right we've waited too long. I love you and that's all that matters."

"I love you too... So your mom knows I kissed her back?"

"Yeah"

"Great, now I'm the asshole of the year"

"Relax, I already told her it's our problem to deal with."

"Still, I hurt her baby girl" we arrive home and I'm about to get out of the car but he stops me. He pulls me back in and gives me a deep kiss... "I swear to you in my life I will never hurt you again."

I give him a smile to let him know it's okay. But in reality neither him or me know what's gonna happen in the future. He's said before he wasn't going to hurt me and then disappeared out of my life...
