omnipresent sadness,
my best friend
told me to forget you
and just then
i realized
how real you really are
and the depth of the hole
you have me in
deep deep deep
like ocean depths
deep deep deep
i hold my breath
in hopes i’ll meet the dark
and she’ll swollow me up
but i know you’ll still be there
you, the only thing that never leaves
you, the sun-l’eau-and air I breathe
