The sound of metal hitting the metal was prominent in the small old forge. Warm sweat was running down her temple and her upper back, slowly making its way down to sink in her worn down clothes. She slightly bit down her lip as she swung the heavy hammer down onto the piece of burning red metal causing a loud thud. She was bending the metal the way that it was supposed to be. The fire creaked in the oven as the wood begun to turn into ashes. After hitting the heated metal countless times she cracked her tiny back when she leaned back. She let out a tired pant when she took her dirty sleeve to get rid of the nasty sweat on her forehead. The sound of the craking fire was soothing her tired body.
She took the still glistening red metal by two pilers and with fast steps, she made her way to the iron bucket filled with cold water. The small figure let the pillars slowly down causing the burning hot iron hiss in agony. The smell of iron mixed with the smell of fire was prominent in the dark forge.
"Neeee-San! Are you finished?", the small body of her little brother came into the blacksmith store. His voice echoing off the dull wall. The concentrated expression on her face faltered a bit as she took the metal out of its water bath. She had slightly jumped out of her concentrated state and fixed her dark eyes on the small figure in the doorframe.
"No I'm not but what is it, Kosuke-Kun?", she replied with a loving tone as her experience changed into a sincere one. She looked down at her small brother that had clinched onto her loose pants. She slowly put down the two pilers on to her metal table. The short girl took her leather gloves off and picked up the anxiously waiting boy.
"We are hungry, big sister! Can you make us something to eat? I know father forbid me to get you but his food isn't so good as yours...", he pleaded with big eyes as he lightly pulled on her patched shoulder patch. „Of course...", she smirked amused while she swiftly made her way to their small house in the southern area of the Uchiha-Clan compound. Before she left the store she made sure everything was secured closed. The girl would work later on to finish her sword which was going to be a katana for her client. The boy rambled about everything while he was gesturing with his small hands. The bigger sister just watched him entertained.
While walking through the neighborhood waved at them friendly. Akane and Kosuke smiled at them.
"Akane-Chan and Kosuke-Kun are you both heading home?", her distant aunt Junta came up to them with a box wrapped up in a cloth whose colors had faded away. Surprised to see her Akane's eyes lit up. "Yes, we are, Junta-San. What's the matter?", she replied smiling at her.  She handed us the small box when she cracked her mouth open. " It is for your father, Akane. Make sure he takes them twice a day and after he ate something.", she told them with a dark look on her face. Akane's look faltered a bit but she nodded understandingly.
"I'll do that, Junta-San, thank you dearly for the herbs!", she bowed her head respectfully as she handed on the medicine to her little brother. Akane took her small coin pouch out and wanted to give her the money but a pale hand stopped her. Junta noticed the red blisters on the fingers of her distant nice and just smiled sadly at her.
"There is no need for that, Akane-Chan!", she said reassuringly. Akane's eyes widen slightly and she opened her mouth to protest but Junta looked at her sternly. That caused the younger girl to halt. Immediately she bowed her head and thanked her for the second time. She pressed her little brother onto her and whispered to him, "Say thank you, Kosuke.", he quickly looked at his aunt and bowed his head making his spiky hair swing in all directions „Thank you, Auntie-Junta!", he beamed his famous smile at her. Junta laughed loudly and patted his head. „Such a polite and handsome guy you are!", she giggled delightfully.
„Well, I don't want to hold on you guys anymore. I think your father is already waiting for you two.", she patted Akane's cheek caringly and waved at her. Swiftly making her way to their home Kosuke looked at his big sister and asked in a low voice
„Big sis, is father sick?", making Akane's smile sink and her eyebrows furrow.
„Kosuke, he's just not feeling all to well with everything going on but he will get better.", she looked at him with a small rosy smile making her brother's eyes go big. He looked at her face and held up his small finger.
„I promise, Koko-Kun - Pinky promise!", she added giggling and held her pinky finger against his.

Akame opened the front door slightly making the old door squeak loudly.
„We are home!", she yelled as she let Kosuke down and took off her worn-out shoes. Kosuke got all excited to see his siblings so he just slipped out of his shoes and left them untidy on the floor. Akame just shook her head and would remind Kosuke later of his wrong behavior. She took his small shoes and placed them neatly on the stairs.
"I brought Nee-San home, guys!", and with that, a swarm of 3 boys came up running up to her. A chorus of boys yelled her name excited and both of her feet and arms got attacked by the boys.
„Go slow on your sister!", a familiar voice echoed from the hallway as her father stood on his feed holding on his crutch. He looked at them with sincere love and slowly made his way to his family. The crutch making the same ticking noise on the floor. He didn't smile but looked at her with a calm expression as he said
"Welcome home, Akane, but I have bad news...", he said with a heavy voice. Her eyes went big and she looked at his expression. She gulped silently and even her brothers went silent and stopped tugging at her clothing. "But first off, let's eat something, alright?". He said turning his back on them so they couldn't see the troubled look on his face as he felt the parchment scratch against his chest. He closed his eyes worriedly and sighed without a sound. The pair of siblings just looked at each other confused.
