A few weeks later, I am now living in greens point apartments and attending school. The administrator told me I came right on time, if I would have been a week later I would not have been able to start.
School has been a bit much with all the work I had to catch up on, now I realized why I dropped out. Later, I came to a conclusion that I ha made a brilliant choice by re-enrolling. The work wasn't too hard, besides being a badass I actually paid attention. In the matter of almost a month, I have made a whole 360 with my life. Now, I have my own place, I'm enrolled in school, and I have a hob interview today.
The interview is at five, I looked at my phone which read 4:00. I hopped out the bed, took a ten minute shower and put on some khaki pants and a button down green and white striped shirt along with my white and grey Nike's. I headed out the door, quickly toward the bus stop. Thirty minutes later, the bus came to a stop in front of Home Depot. I only had ten minutes to spare, so I walked off the bus an into the store. I was standing there rubbing my hands together, as a man walked over to me. "To be on time means your late, to be early means your on time," he quoted. I like your punctuality, follow me young man. We sat there in Mr. Grey's office as he interviewed me, I answered each question to the best of my ability. Before leaving, he shook my hand and said "You got the job, be here next week . "Do you think you can work from five to one Monday through Friday?," Mr. Grey asked. "Yes sir, I can displaying a smile along with a firm hand shake. I left the store with the same confidence I walked in with, and headed home.
Upon entering my apartment, I was ecstatic at getting the job. Those words " You got the job" were like a melody to my ears. I walked to the corner store to buy some snack. When I got there, I looked around for my favorite sweet tarts and skittles. Disappointed, they had skittles, but no sweet tarts. Instead, I grabbed two 1.49 bags of chips and a Arizona peach tea. I walked home to eat my snacks and finish my homework.
The next day, I woke up at 7:00 smoked half a cigarette and got dressed for school. Books in hand, I headed for the bus stop. Twenty minutes later, I arrived at the school. Every morning, I would go to the cafeteria to eat breakfast. Then, I made a beeline out of the loud cafeteria. My first mistake was when I turned around, the next thing I knew I bumped into someone. "My fault shawty , " I said kneeling down to help her pick up her scattered papers and books. "I know I look good, but you can't just be walking into me like that," I smirked. She gave me a small smile and left. Looking around to make sure she didn't leave anything, I saw a name tag which read Adrianna Smith. The bell rang, before I could go after the girl, so I just went to class. When I entered the classroom, Adrianna was the first person I laid eyes on. She sat there quiet as a mouse, and she ducked her head in shame as I approached her. "Here, you dropped this in the hallway," I said handing her the name tag. "Thank you," she replied just above a whisper. I took a seat next to her, "Y-Your n-new here right?" Adrianna asked shyly. "Yeah, I just moved here from a small town in the country," I quietly responded. "Do you wanna hang out with me this weekend, since I don't know anybody round here?I asked as my heart sped up. "Sure, I guess." Writing my number down, I tore a piece of paper off and gave it to her. " I-I didn't g-get your name? She requested more as a question than a statement. "I'm " pretty boy" Christian," I said shrugging my eyebrows up and down. "Are y-you always this cocky? Adrianna asked. " I'm not cocky, I would just call it confident." Adrianna smiled at my statement. For the remainder of the class, we sat there taking notes and paying attention. Ninety minutes later, after all the lectures and notes class was over. School was quickly over and I headed home. TGIF! My last night of work, before the weekend. Usually, I would sleep the weekend away, but Adrianna is coming over to hang out.
Twenty minutes later, I made it home with an hour to recuperate before work. I ate a bag of chips and put my work clothes on. Then, I left to catch a bus for work. My first paycheck, I'm gonna spend it on an I.d., food, and toiletries. Some of it,I'm gonna save up to get a car. Pulling up to my job, I got out and headed inside to clock in. When I entered, I saw my boss looking my way. He gestured for me to come his way, "Keep up the good work, Christian." Mr. Grey said patting me on the back. After I clocked in, I got to work. I worked my fingers the bones, loading and unloading and stocking up.
By the time my shift was over, exhaustion was an understatement to explain how I felt. Punching the clock, I slowly made my way to the bus stop. I was home in no time, falling on the bed I was knock out until the next day.
Question: When you met your significant other was there anything you wanted to change about them?
