Waking up to the trash man, I yawned and got up.

Looking at my appearance in the mirror, I threw some water on my face a few times to wake myself up. Grabbing some jeans, I put them on and grabbed the rest of my clothes and placed them in a basket. Since, it was Saturday I planned on going to the Washateria and wash my clothes. Pulling out my phone, I text Adrianna to let her know where I was going.

Minutes later, she text back and let me know she would be more than happy to take me. Walking the short distance to the corner store, I decided to buy a coke and sandwich. By the time I came back, Adrianna was already at my door waiting. "Dang girl, you wanted to see me so bad you flew her," I teased. "You know I love being around you," she admitted. When I walked in my apartment, I grabbed my phone and the basket full of clothes and locked the door behind me. "You ready to meet my parents, tonight?" She asked smiling. "Yeah," I said looking out the window. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy just nervous. I've never really been in a serious relationship, it's usually just me and a girl I'm with at the time. "Hey, it's nothing to be nervous about, they are down to earth people and don't be shocked by their straight forwardness," she said. I guess she sensed my nerves kicking into overdrive, I feel better now that she told me that.

Slowly, we pulled into a small Washateria. There were only a couple cars here, so I figured it wouldn't be that many people. Boy was I in for a surprise when I walked in to wash clothes. There were at least six little kids running around. Three were probably around ten, one of them had a pamper on that was weighing them around. The other two were walking around with pacifiers in their mouth. All I could do was shake my head. The little boy was pointing at the candy machine, then he came waddling over to me with a pamper half on. The boy grabbed my fingers and led me to the candy machine. The big lady turned around, "Wth you doing to my kids, GET AWAY FROM THEM!! She yelled. Adrianna came over, and jumped in it. "Baby, it's OK it's just a misunderstanding, come sit down," I ushered her back over to the chair. I didn't even feel like separating my clothes, so I just started the washer up and dumped them all in.

Three hours later, the washer made a noise indicating my clothes were finished. I went to take them out, and find a dryer to put em in. The dryer I had just put my money in, the lady popped up throwing her wet clothes in. There were either one of two way this could have went, either good or bad. Losing my patience, I threw the woman clothes out the dryer and stuffed my inside and started them. She begin cursing me out, "BITCH WTF YOU DOING, I WAS ABOUT TO USE THIS M'F'KN DRYER,"she yelled. Now the sh.t finna hit the fan ! "BITCH, NOW I KNOW YOU JUST SEEN ME DROP MY QUARTERS IN HERE, YOU NEED TO GO USE ANOTHER M'F'N DRYER AND WATCH THEM DAMN KIDS OF YOUR," I said loud enough for everybody to here. Thirty minutes later, my clothes were dry and I was more than relieved to leave that ghetto a$$ Washateria.

Adrianna looked at me as if she wanted to say something, but I kissed her and we drove off. When we got back, Adrianna had picked me out something to wear. I agreed with her choice, she had me some black dickie shorts matched with a plain white T. I prepared for the dinner with her parents, as she assured me again how everything would be OK. Pulling into her driveway, I took a deep breath and stepped out the car. We walked hand in hand to the door and into the house. "Mom, I'm home," Adrianna echoed throughout the house as she slipped her shoes off at the door. "Dinner will be ready in two minutes, I just have to set the table," she said.

Christian and Adrianna walked in the kitchen just as her mom finished setting the table. "Hi, I'm Mrs. Smith, but you can call me Audry," she introduced herself while reaching her hand out to be shaken. "Hi, Audry, My name is Christian, I see where Adrianna get her looks from," I said with confidence. Someone came around the corner clearing their throat, and turning around I saw who I assume to be Adrianna's dad. "Good evening sir, I'm Christian," I said. He shook my hand, and we all sat down at the table. "So, Audry started. Where did you meet my daughter?" "Actually, we both attend Lamar Highschool," I replied. "How old are you, young man?" Mr. Smith questioned. "I'm eighteen sir," I stated truthfully. After all the questions, we sat and ate and the meal was awesome. Her parents were pretty cool, I knew I shouldn't have been worrying about anything. For the rest of the night, I explained everything to them about me. The only reason I did, because I planned on staying with their daughter for the long run. The least I could do was explain my life and goals to them. By the time I explained everything to them, we were all in tears. Surprisingly, they even asked if I wanted to move in with them. Of course, I declined their invitation, because I always wanted my own. After we said our goodbye's Adrianna insisted on driving me home. "So, did you enjoy dinner and my parents?" She asked. "Yeah, they straight. I don't know if you heard or not, but they even invited me to live you guy," I said. "I told you they were down to earth kind of people." "You right baby, well let me get in this house," I said as she pulled outside my apartment. "What you doing tomorrow?" Adrianna asked . "I'm just gone sleep and get ready for this busy week," I replied kissing her on the lips. I waved my girl off, and entered my house to go into hibernation mode.
