When I made it home from that long drive, I laid on my bed and stared at the ceiling. Adrianna insisted on coming over, but I told her I wanted to be alone. She shook her head in understand and left. How many of y'all know an idol mind is the devil's workshop? I was told that by my grandma when I was growing up. Your guardians think you don't pay attention, but you soak it all up like a sponge. Evil thoughts were coursing through my brain, my veins filled with more adrenaline than I can handle.

All of a sudden, I jumped to feet. I decided to take a walk, listening to the devil whisper in my ear. "You ain't sh.t, and you aint gone ever amount to nothing," the devil whispered. "Its all your fault, you should just kill yourself, you have nothing else to live for," the devil continued. I was hanging on to the devils every word, I felt like screaming or punching something. Coming across a bridge, I sat on the edge of the bridge.

Looking down at the water, it look profound from where I was sitting. My phone started vibrating inside my pocket, I didn't have to look at it to know who it was. Adrianna had been calling me on and off all day. This time, she ended up leaving a voicemail. After I listened to it, I threw my phone. Adrianna had explained"Since you're not answering,I'm coming over." Shutting my phone off, I shoved it in my pocket. "Jump," the devil tempted me. Looking down again, I begin shaking my leg back and forth.

All of a sudden, there was a loud screeching of tires behind me. Without turning around, I knew who it was. Adrianna came running and touched my shoulder, but I shrugged her hand away. "Wh-What are you doing?" She asked. "I have nothing left to live for, I might as well end it all," I mumbled. "My grandma gone, my mama gone, my dad locked up who do I have?" I rambled on. "You have me, and my family," Adrianna added. I looked at Adrianna will tears in my eyes, and I could see that she was on the verge of breaking down herself. "This world will be a better place without me," I said taking my shirt off. By this time, I had attracted a group of people. "NO!! IF YOU JUMP, I'M JUMPING TOO. We in this together, I can't live this life without you," she poured her feelings out to me. Adrianna reached her hands out to me. "Come on, we can get through this together. Your my heartbeat, there's no life without you, I need Christian," she cried. I could see the truth behind her tears, and I decided in that moment what's best.

I reached out and took Adrianna's hand, and she took me to her house. We talked about what had just transpired. Both her parents were in tears and her mom was the first to reach out to me. Squeezing me in her arms, "We love you like your our own, you make my babygirl so happy and that makes me happy to see her happy," Audry said rubbing my back before letting me go. "We have a proposition , and we want to run it by you to see how you feel about it," Adrianna's dad continued. "We think it would be a great idea (he paused) if you moved in with us, nothing permanent just for a few months, so you'll have others around you for support. Thinking about it, it seemed like a good idea. "I really don't wanna impose, you guys have already been too good to me," I said truthfully. "It would be great to have another man around," he joked with a chuckle. "What about my apartment?" I just remembered. "I thought about that too, and I'll let you work around here fixing or cleaning to get more stuff for your apartment," he added. Looking over at Adrianna, it looked like she was holding her breath eager to hear my response. *Sighing in defeat* I'll accept your offer, but I do still have to work," I let him know. Adrianna came over and gave me a big bear hug. "Adrianna don't mind taking you to work, for the meantime," he added with a smirk. Though, I didn't find anything amusing, I nodded my head OK.

Moments later, Adrianna led me up to her room. "Leave the door open, we're not expecting any grandchildren anytime soon," Audry stated flatly. Adrianna rolled her eyes, and made it to her room. She had a normal sized lime green room, green and pink polka dotted comforter with a wooden desk next to her full size bed. An office chair in front of her desk along with a lamp on the night stand on the opposite side of her bed. "Don't just stand there, sit down somewhere," she smiled. "Am I gone be sleeping with you? " Adrianna gave me an are you kidding me look. "No, you'll be staying in the guest bedroom," she said.

" I'll show you after we get your clothes and stuff. Do wanna go get it now?" She eagerly asked. Back at my place, I packed my clothes and shoes. Before leaving, I looked around the almost empty apartment and smiled. Heading back to Adrianna's, she was about to let me get settled in.
