Chapter 30

Serena's POV

"I..I'm fine thanks.." He answered, "are you tired?" i asked, he nodded softly "You should sleep on the couch" I said, he nodded and slowly stood up, i stood up as well and walked behind him as he sat on the couch, i stood there waiting for him to lay down and sleep but then he gestured me to sit next to him, i took the gesture and sat next to him, what shocked me was what came after, he laid his head on my lap, he he hugged Pikachu closely, and fell asleep, i blushed softly as i smiled at him gently, i gently stroked his hair as he slept, then I heard Someone walk up behind me, he then sat on the Arm chair of the couch next to me "Who knew his Parent's past were that deep..." Gary said, i looked at Ash sadly "Who would've known.. look at you.. even you don't know and you guys were childhood friends" I said "How could i have known? Ash didn't even know" He reasoned "You've got a point" I said as i looked at Gary "Serena.. can you do me a favor?" He asked "Sure Gary, what is it?" I asked "Take Care of Ash whenever we're not there for him" He said "What..do you mean?" I asked "There will be a time when we are all separated, and it's hard to contact each other, when he is hurt, down or even just sad, please be the one by his side in those times" he said, i smiled softly "Alright.. i'll do just that" I said, Gary chuckled and pat my head "You Rest too, you seemed to have stayed up last night" He said and walked back to the Kitchen 'Ash.. you heard that..? i'm not leaving your side for a while, so don't leave mine..' i thought and slowly fell asleep

time skip~

after some time i woke up to some shuffling next to me, i opened my eyes tiredly, the one  shuffling was Ash sitting up, his eyes met mine, he smiled softly "Afternoon Serena.." He said with his hoarse voice "Afternoon Ash" I said as i gently ruffled his hair "pikaaa~" Pikachu yawned and nuzzled up to me, i chuckled "Afternoon to you as well Pikachu" i said, he smiled at me widely "sorry i fell asleep on your legs Serena, you must've been uncomfortable" he said "It's fine, i didn't feel uncomfortable at all" i said with a sincere smile "If you say so" he said and gently stood up, stretching a bit "You hungry Serena?" He asked "I could eat" i said and gently stood up whilst holding Pikachu, "I'm sure Gary left some food out for us" He said and walked with me to the Kitchen, he was right, Gary left some food out for us with a note 'We went to train without you Ketchum, eat up and join us if you can' it said, he chuckled at that and put it away and got our food ready "Let's eat Serena, maybe we can catch up to them" He said with an adorable smile

Brock's POV

a man walked in the Poke Center, he wore a white Lab Coat and was with a girl with reddish auburn hair, they walked up to Nurse Joy "Excuse me, does Ash Ketchum stay here?" The Man asked "Yes he does"Nurse Joy answered "Can i ask for his Room Number?" He asked 'huh? does he have something to do with Ash?' i thought "I'm sorry, i can't give you that information unless you are acquainted with him" Nurse Joy said "How do you Know Ash?" i asked, finally stepping into the conversation "I was his friend when he went to Kalos, i battled him in the League, i won, and he became a runner up" He said 'Kalos League? so that means he's..' My thoughts trailed off as i smiled "I'll lead you up to his Room Mr. Alain" i told him

Ash's POV

we finished our food and i cleaned the dishes, there was then a knock on the door "I'll answer it!" Serena said as she went over to check who it was, i then finished washing and dried my hands "Serena!" I heard a female voice say "Mairin!" i heard Serena say 'Mairin...? then that means--' i thought as i walked over to living room, there i saw Mairin and Alain "Alain? Mairin?" I called out, they looked over once i said that "Ash!" Mairin said and ran over and hugged me, i chuckled softly and hugged her back "Mairin how are you? you've grown" I said and pat her head "I'm good! I've been travelling with Alain all over the world!" She said "Travelling? what for?" I asked "I needed some more Pokemon Research" Alain said and came over patting my shoulder "You Rascal, being gone for so long and coming back just like that" He said, i chuckled "Sorry about that" I apologized "But since your here, there must be something that you need" I said, he chuckled "I don't need anything, but Mairin does" Alain said "Oh yeah? and whats that?" I asked "A battle! with you!" Mairin said excitedly "a Battle?" I asked, she nodded excitedly, i chuckled at her "I can't turn you down now can't i?" I chuckled "Nope!" She said with a wide smile "Fine, let's go to the Field, the others are there training" I said, she nodded and we all went down to the Field, as we walked out there i saw Dad, Yellow, the rest of the Crew, the Traitors and Delia.. face to face "what's going on here?" Alain asked, i growled and went over to them, i stood in front of the crew, facing Delia eye to eye "What do you want?" I asked with a scary tone, Mairin and Alain met up with Bonnie and Clemont, though the atmosphere was still tense "I need to talk with Red and Yellow Ash.." Delia said "Why? Because you want to ruin my Dad's Life again?" I asked with such disgust "All i want to do is bring my mistakes to Court"
