Ash's POV
Making our way downstairs, the first thing we see, is the Sea of Reporters in the Lobby, as soon as they saw us, they started making a fuss, asking questions left and right, I looked to the Side and saw my Dad, Ms. Yellow, Mr. Blue and Mrs.Leaf, a few officer Jenny's were keeping the Reporters distanced, making sure none of them got to us,
"Hey Kiddos, Mr. Good show asked us a Big favor of 'Bodyguarding' you" Mr.Blue said with a huge smile
His statement made us look at each other confused, Dad quickly noticed and explained
"There are Thousands of Reporters loitering around the area, So we were asked to make sure none of them get to you, first thing on our agenda.. getting you out those doors and into the Van outside"
Processing his words we nodded
"Make sure none of you get pulled in by one of the reporters~" Mrs. Leaf chuckled
Her joke made the two younger kids shiver, though it made me worry about Serena and the others, since Many people see us around with them all the time
"The rest of your friends are already at the Stadium, they got there safely and are already seated" My Dad added to reassure us
This made me sigh in relief, Pikachu nuzzled me, I smiled at him and gently pat his head
"Alright! Enough chitchat, Let's get going" Mr.Blue said
Mrs.Leaf then let out her Venasaur, This made the Reporters confused, Venasaur then used it's Vines to push the Reporters Gently aside to make way for us, and to also help out the Officer Jenny's, I Turned around to look at the group, giving a small 'Let's go!' Gesture, We started to make our way out, Though at the Corner of my eye, I saw Brock looking at Nurse Joy sadly, before we got too far, I Turned to one of the Officer Jenny's
"Uhm.. excuse me, but.. is it Possible for Nurse Joy to come..? Even if it's later..?" I asked quietly
The officer Jenny looked at me confused, but nodded
"I'll have her over to watch Later" she whispered back
I smiled and thanked her before Following the rest of the group inside the Van that was supposed to bring us to the Stadium
"Who's driving the Van?" Paul asked
The parents looked at each other and chuckled, as soon as we got on, we saw A very familiar looking person
"I'll be your Driver today, Let's get along everyone~"
"Reggie? Why are you driving?" Paul groaned
"Is there something wrong?" Reggie pouted,
We all chuckled
"Ugh, whatever, Just get us to the stadium" Paul said crossing his arms
"Yes sir~" He said happily
The drive to the Stadium was smooth, there were still a lot of Reporters loitering around, Even taking photos of the Van, We just learned to Ignore it and focus on the day
"We're here everyone..! Good luck! I'll be watching!" Reggie said
The Vans doors Opened, and the first ones to Hop off was the Parents and their Pokemon. Shocking to say, there were even more reporter's there, Camera's flashing left and right, basically blinding us, Quickly Dad Led us inside the Stadium, Their Pokemon, gently pushing aside all of the Reporters. Safely, we got to the Locker rooms
"We got into the Stadium without too much Hassle luckily" Mr. Blue said relieved
"That was Hectic.." Gary complained
"You can say that again" Brock chuckled
"Now that Everyone is here, I'll be explaining everything that needs to be said" a female voice said
We turned around to see Cynthia
"Cynthia?" I said in a question like manner
"Hello Ash, I've been Assigned by Mr. Goodshow to explain everything that will Happen on the field today" she said
She took out a Clipboard, showing us a Peice of Paper that read
Top 8 Opponents
Gary vs Trip
Paul vs Bonnie
Max vs Brock
Clemont vs Ash
We all looked at the Paper seriously, Finally starting to feel the pressure of 'Top 8'. we all met eyes with our Opponents and gave a small nod
"The first round will be a 4 vs 4 Pokemon Battle, the Second round will be a 5 vs 5, and finally, the top 2, will be having a 6 vs 6 Pokemon Battle, Whoever wins, will be able to battle Diantha for the title of 'Pokemon Champion' " Cynthia Explained
"In the top 2, the loser is automatically granted 3rd place, the battle between the Winner of the Top 2, and Diantha, will determine 2nd and 1st place, 2nd being given to the loser of course" Cynthia added
"Do your very best everybody, because one of you, may be given the title of Pokemon champion" Cynthia said, a little bit more of a dramatic tone
Finally, we felt it, the Heavy weight being put on our shoulders.
"Welcome All watchers!" The emcee announced
"Its starting, Trip, Bonnie, Brock and Ash will wait here, while the rest will have to wait on the Other side, Once your name is called, make your way onto the Platform" Cynthia said,
We all nodded, and quickly said goodbye to the rest of the crew, I felt a Hand on my shoulder, I Turned around and it was Bonnie, she looked really nervous
"Bonnie? What's wrong?" I asked, gently crouching to her height
She fiddled with her thumbs
"I'm nervous, Ash... and.. Scared.." she admitted
I gently smiled and pat her head
"Its normal to be Nervous, I'm nervous too, all our friends are nervous.." I said
She looked up at me, and gently hugged me
"You know Ash... It's because of you I'm here today... thank you.." she said
I felt a smile creep up my face, I hugged her back
"Let's do our best.." I said, looking up at the sight of the big field, and the large Crowd
'I'm... so close.. to achieving my dream..'
