CINCO DE MAYO
It had now been an entire month since seeing Gina, everything was practically the same, Y/N was at Jake's desk working on their murder case whilst the rest of the squad where trying to get through the first hour of work as Hitchcock strolled in.
"Hey, hey hey! It's the best day of the year. Happy Cinco de Mayo!" Hitchcock yelled to the bullpen as he was wearing a poncho.
"I don't think you're allowed to wear a poncho to work, Hitchcock," Jake told from his desk.
"Let's fiesta!" Hitchcock wailed, ignoring what Jake just said as a mariachi band entered the bullpen before they started playing 'the Mexican hat song'.
"Oh, you got a band." Jake tapped his knee as Terry ran into the room.
"Stop, stop! No trumpets! Not today! My head is killing me!" Terry placed his hand on his forehead in pain.
"Hit the tequila a little early, huh?"
"I'm not hungover, Hitchcock." Terry denied. "I've got a tension headache. I've got the Lieutenant's exam tonight. I'm stress-eating like crazy." He took a seat at his desk. "I had ten hard-boiled egg yolks this morning."
"Gross." Jake nodded as Amy strolled up to the group.
"You're having a high-grade pre-test freak out. I've been there. March 13, 2001. AP Calc test--" Amy started her story before being interrupted by Jake.
"Ames, I hate to cut you off, but we all know where this story's going."
"Oh, yeah?" Amy turned around to her husband. "You know that I crapped my pants in the middle of the test? Y/N/N had to take me to the bathroom, she held me whilst I cried." She has explained the story in too much detail.
"Yeah, there was a lot." Y/N bobbed her head as a few people grimaced causing the girl to realize what she had just said. "Of the crying, obvious." She corrected herself.
"Oh my God, no, I thought you were just gonna say you got a B+ or something." Jake thought.
"More like a BM." Amy corrected the boy.
"Noice." Jake finger gunned back before the two high-five.
"Come on, now Terry's worried about his test and his bowels!" Terry slammed his desk before dropping his head into his hands.
"What you need, Sergeant, is to distract yourself. NPR has a riveting six-hour interview with Eileen Moon Myers." Holt suggested with his cup of coffee.
"Nobody knows who that is." Rosa chimed in from her desk.
"Nobody knows the Associate Principal Cellist in the New York Philharmonic?" Holt questioned before snorting. "Okay."
