SICKO
It was now a week later from Y/N and Rosa's wedding, it was a typical day at the precinct causing the squad to spiral into a state of boredom.
"Guys! I have a great idea for a prank." Jake rushed into the briefing room. "Before Holt comes in, I'm gonna put ink on the podium where he puts his hands." He held up the ink pad with a smile.
"I don't think he'll fall for that." Terry denied.
"I did!" Hitchcock piped up from the back as he raised his ink-covered hands.
"How? I haven't even opened this yet." Jake questioned the boy in a slight state of concern.
"I guess it's unrelated." Hitchcock shrugged it off.
"Captain Holt hates pranks. This is gonna backfire, man." Rosa propped her legs up on the desk in front of her before folding her arms over her chest.
"Ugh, fine, I'll tone it down. I'll..." Jake thought on the spot before looking down at the podium. "Move his podium a foot to the left." He decided.
"What? He'll be so angry." Amy chimed in.
"Okay, five inches." Jake made a plan.
"Five?" Amy's face dropped.
"Three?"
'Three?" Amy said through her teeth.
"One?"
"One?" Amy's brows furrow together.
"All right. I'll move it a half-inch." Jake made up his mind.
"Fine. It's your funeral." Amy sighed.
"Oh my god." Jake huffed as he moved the podium a half-inch to the left. "Worst prank ever. So stupid. Holt's not even going to notice." He grumbled as he walked back over to his seat.
"Good morning." Holt greeted everyone as he strolled over to the podium before placing down his books. "You guys..." His brows knit together. "The podium, it's... Ha." The man started to chuckle before it intensified into a riotous laugh as everyone watched on in the same state of confusion. "You're crazy! How did you pull this off?"
~
With Captain now amazed by the prank the squad just pulled he was on the phone to his husband, "Yes, Kevin, they moved it a full half-inch. I'll tell you the entire story tonight. I love you as well. Goodbye." Holt ended the call before returning back to the group. "Oh, that was a fun several moments." He chuckled. "So, there's been a series of homicides. Three victims, all young men, each murdered in their own fashion." He changed his tone rapidly.
"A serial killer?" Jake's mouth dropped. "How'd they do it? Strangled? Mangled? Hung, i.e. dangled?" He took a guess.
"Their bodies were disfigured."
